We had clean rooms with praiseworthy amenities. The decor of the entire hotel really amazed us. We appreciate the ambience. The food was good. The gala dinner for the new year's party was great.
But we felt a lack of warmth in the hospitality. The phone in our room ( upper level) was not working. They charged a hefty amount for the rooms and breakfast but the service that they had provided was not always up to the mark. The breakfast buffet was repeating items. And the staff was serving in a manner as if we were looting free food. No body would come up and attend you. One day they were asked to pack our breakfast, which they did but didn't even bother to put tissues and cutlery. Is this what to expect from such a high ranking hotel ?
The worst part happened during the check out. The scheduled check out was at 12. The previous night they called and said that we could stay till 2 pm as our flight was in the late evening. The next day, at around 11 am we went to the front desk to discuss the check out and they repeatedly said that we could stay till 2pm. Suddenly, around 12.40 pm we got a call from reception and we were asked to evacuate the room latest by 1 pm. I repeatedly said that in such short notice we can't arrange any alternative but they said they were expecting guests. We left the room by 1.20 pm and came to know that many other families were checking out. So they had enough rooms, they could have kept their words but they just chose to harass us.
The GM called us several times before our check in to make us pay beforehand though the hotel policy clearly mentioned that if you have online reservation confirmation you don't need to pay anything beforehand. But we understood it was peak time and they wanted to ensure the occupancy. But after check out we didn't have a single call from his side to check whether we are having a comfortable stay. Are they just concerned about the money ?!
Though the facilities were great, we found it mechanical and lacking the "home feel ". The supporting staff was good though.
Go ahead with the hotel if you are comfortable with synthetic aristocracy.
For us, the university professors with a human heart, it lacked in quite a few areas. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Amazing Experience, very good service, Food was delicious food, supportive staff, I personally suggest to book this hotel for every your trip to goa. They also provide cab facility from airport to hotel and from hotel to airport
