My wife and I stayed at Casa Sedona for the weekend of Oct 11th - Oct 13th and we wish we were still there! From the moment we arrived with the soft adobe styling and the babbling from the many water features on the property we knew we picked the right location for a romantic getaway. Zuzanna the boutique hotel’s inn keeper was gracious and very welcoming while she toured us around the premise and shared the nuances of this unique establishment.
The facility has several rooms with Arizona themes and an outdoor space each ranging from a balcony, garden patio or a full rooftop deck. The views are spectacular as the inn is situated quite close to Thunder Mountain. We stayed in the Sacred feather room as we were late booking and there was only two rooms available to choose from. We chose this room as it was the only one with a jacuzzi tub for two as the other had a soaker tub. The room had a gas fireplace, beautiful art pieces and an extremely comfortable bed with very nice linens. Robes and slippers were also provided. The bathroom was dated and definitely needs to be gutted and redone but the tub served the purpose and there was a freestanding shower stall and a large mini fridge. There were several toiletries with that extra touch such as bath salts, makeup remover cloths, etc that were very much appreciated. We also had ordered the romance package for $124 that included a dozen beautiful roses, a box of truffles, keepsake champagne flutes with hummingbird charms and a bottle of champagne which was in our room upon our arrival. Although we loved the package, the champagne was not to our taste.
There is a very well appointed kitchen area for all guests who require any glassware, cutlery, corkscrew, etc, coffee available all day and the sitting areas inside our room building as well as reception are artfully decorated with beautiful burl furniture and fall colours.
This inn is just off the main artery and is within walking distance to Safeway, 89Steakhouse and the Golden Goose restaurant. It is very quiet and there are several outdoor seating areas to enjoy the abundant hummingbirds. This is a secure and safe inn as my wife and I left our room unlocked (need to use your room key to lock the door) with our safe wide open and when we returned everything was as we had left it! How can you tell we were hungry and in a hurry?
We also had breakfast each morning from the Casa Sedona breakfast only restaurant and Jorge even delivered it to our room on Sunday. The breakfast each morning was delicious with the poached eggs cooked to perfection.
In closing we also want to thank Zuzanna for all of her assistance regarding a “taxi” service - Zeus which was fabulous, the printout on the vortexes, shredding some of our travel documents that we no longer required and for taking our bags early and delivering them to our room so my wife and I could go on a pre-booked tour. Zuzanna was there at 7 in the morning and after 5 at night taking care of the guests and services. We swear she slept under her desk!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to return.
