“Romantic Getaway for two”

When we pulled into the parking area my first thought was of how beautiful the setting was and of how secluded I felt. We had to walk along a garden path, which was rich with flowers and wildlife, to get to the office. Our hosts, Mike and Melina, welcomed us warmly, gave as a quick tour of our chalet, then left us to explore the coziness and serenity of our accommodations. The Wild Rose Chalet is two story. The upstairs is a loft with a queen size bed boasting a balcony and windows that offer a beautiful view of the trees a foliage. Down stairs is a small kitchen, which has everything you need if you want to cook your own meals. A full bath with whirlpool tub, and a fire place. We did not use the fireplace because the weather was so warm. I can only imagine how nice it is during the winter. The first night we slept with the windows and door open so the cool evening air could blow through. That was the most peaceful nights sleep I have had in months. Melina is a wonderful cook. She made breakfast each morning; fresh muffins, variety of fresh fruits, omelets, and quiche. Her coffee is good too. If you don't like coffee, Melina has a large assortment of tea in the office. One of my favorite memories is of the hummingbirds. Each morning I sat at the kitchen table and watch these majestic creatures eat from a feeder that Mike and Melina strategically hung. I have never seen so many different varieties. I was truly captivated. No children are allowed at this property, which makes it a perfect getaway for a romantic weekend. I had a wonderful time. Thank you Mike and Melina for all the love and passion you have and provide for all your guests.

“Immaculate cabins, relaxing stay in Oak Creek Canyon”
Reviewed 15 March 2012 for a stay in February 2012

Our vacation at Canyon Wren Cabins for Two exceeded our expectations. The friendly and helpful innkeepers did everything possible to make our stay more enjoyable from before we even arrived, helping with spa reservations in Sedona via email and phone. Throughout our stay, the innkeepers were brimming with good cheer and helpful suggestions for fun and interesting things to do while in the Sedona area, and this added much to our experience there.

Our cabin was tidy and contained everything we needed for a relaxing time away, including a porch for watching the sun recede beyond the canyon walls, a whirlpool tub, and a fireplace, replenished with firewood daily by the innkeepers. The kitchen was nicely appointed and helped us avoid "food overload" from too many meals out while traveling. We found ourselves returning to the cabin by late afternoon so we could spend some time relaxing there.

We appreciate the opportunity to turn off the "gadgets" every now and then, and so the Canyon Wren's location in the canyon was something of a bonus: no cell phone reception or internet service there; also, no television. Further freedom to enjoy the incredible Sedona outdoors.

Each morning featured a satisfying breakfast, which we ate in our cabin. It looks as though during warmer weather guests can eat outdoors where one has a very nice view of Oak Creek canyon and the many birds that frequent the area. We found that February days can be very pleasant, but as soon as the sun drops, it gets cold mighty fast.

This property is geared towards couples, outdoor enthusiasts, and those who can handle being away from technology for a few days, in other words, us. We will be delighted to return to the Canyon Wren at the earliest possible opportunity.

“Quiet, peaceful and refreshing”
Reviewed 18 February 2012 for a stay in February 2012

We wanted to see Sedona in the Winter, and the owners of the Cabin Wren provided the utmost in friendly atmosphere, beautiful cabins, delicious muffins, and just complete rest and relaxation in such a beautiful environment. Can't wait to return in the Spring to see all the foliage blooming. Thanks Mike and Milena for our Anniversary getaway.

“Very private and cozy”
Reviewed 12 January 2012 for a stay in January 2012

We spent our anniversary in the Wild Rose. It was wonderful. The breakfasts are very good, and the daily brownies were wonderful. My wife enjoyed the fireplace as well. The owners are very helpful and gave us suggestions about where to eat and even made reservations for us for dinner. The cabins are very secluded from the modern technology world, so you really get to spend time with each other.
