I booked this hotel because of its location right in the centre and based on photos. It is perfect for location and indeed the rooms are pleasant. But I suspect if you use a booking site, you get the worst rooms. I opened the curtains to find I was looking at the elevator shaft and the kitchen cooking shaft. Hardly any light filtered in. My bed was comfortable but no chair to hang clothes on. Bathroom was tiny tho it had a bidet. My knees touched the bath when I sat on the toilet. Ample hot water but was almost boiling which could be dangerous to children. I would open my window for fresh air to get noises from the kitchen as well as the ventilator noise and smells. Then to cap it all, children were in the rooms opposite and one evening ran around and banged on their doors. I had to go out twice to ask them to stop. Where were the parents? I mentioned to reception who said to come to them if it happened again. I did mention how disappointed I was with the room. I stayed 5 nights so thought a better room should have been offered. But seems nothing was free. The cafe downstairs is very popular which is another reason I booked. Breakfast was fine and plentiful. If you book here make sure you ask for an outside room.

Ok...so there was a 24 hour strike and we were lucky to get rooms here as 6 cruise ships arrived in on the same day and all flights out of Ushuaia were grounded.

Check in is slow and painful due to a combination of language difficulties, unhelpfulness and no sense of getting things done in a hurry.

Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Showers....oh dear Lord. There are two taps for the showers..one hat and one cold. The trick is getting the balance right. When I went downstairs to reception to tell them that the treads on the shower head were worn and water was spewing out one side only of the shower head and it was impossible to regulate the flow of hot and cold...he simply shrugged.
To be fair...he moved us to another room where the shower head was a different type.

Breakfast is a pretty grim affair. There is cereal, there is bread..cheese and ham and jams and those very sweet pastries the Argentinians love so much. Fresh fruit isn't. It's tired and wrinkled. Coffee is made by an unreliable machine which might give you a cup of espresso or might give you cafe con leche....and it's all lukewarm.
Standards of hygiene....lets just say that cutlery and crockery appear to have been handwashed in cold water..

It's not a cheap hotel either. $125 a night; for paper thin walls and every sound carrying. Having said that...they put up with us to-ing and fro-ing to the airport hoping to fly on standby....and ordered taxis at a moment's notice so it kind of balanced out.
What they do have going for them is a brisk deli trade and a lot of effort seems to go into juices, smoothies, salads and wraps...none of which you see at breakfast...but may have if you pay extra.

It's three stars....but maybe the stars were self awarded...

Glad I didn't have to spend Christmas here in it....

My partner and I spent 3 nights here. Great location being in the middle of the Main Street with great restaurant and bar choices.
Unfortunately our room was facing the Main Street and was very very noisy all night with cars and people. We did not get much sleep. Also the room was very hot even without a heater on!!
The breakfast buffet was very disappointing with minimal choices.
The staff here were very attentive and were helpful when we requested assistance.
Great location but not great sleep!

Me: Avid traveler. Diamond in Delta, Platinum in Marriott and Sheraton, Silver in United

Group: 1 female and 2 males (including me)
Female stayed in single room. The guys stayed in a twin room (two twin beds)
Would I stay here again: Definitely. No doubt.

Pros:

Cleanliness: Very clean. No issues at all.
Location: Perfect! Not sure if you can get a hotel with better location. Right on the main strip. Absolutely everything is within a 20 min walk.

Quality of Beds: Comfortable beds. No issues

Customer service: Excellent. Only issue was that the host did not speak English. I'm a Spanish native so it was not an issue for me.

Breakfast: Did not eat at the hotel. Did not wake up in time due to a long evening lol.

Safety: no concerns at all. If anything, Patagonia is filled with stray dogs, so as long as you don't mind them following you around then it is extremely safe.

Hotel in general is new and really nice. It has a bistro bar / deli in the lobby floor. Great for grabbing snacks or a quick meal to go for exploring Ushuaia.

Cons:

Poor wifi quality in rooms - not the greatest. I expected a better wifi quality from this hotel, but didn't really spend too much time in it.

Overall: 4.5 stars. Great hotel with amazing location and good amenities. No complaints at all. Keep up the good work.

I'm not picky about where I spent a night but when you pay for a 4 star hotel you expect a good place to stay.
The place smell old, it needs a really update asap. Carpet dirty at the halls upstairs, bathroom so small, if you are over 130 pounds forget about it.
The bathtub need to be replace.
The water was not even coming clean, the shower didn't work properly.
The safety box didn't work and I was even told that the security code was 123456 😳
I do not recommend this hotel. The only good thing is the location. Nothing else.
Forget about wifi, it's " free" and they were right! I didn't pay bc it didn't work
Very disappointed. Sometimes people get excited bc of the advertisements, believe me, for that money you can get better! It's a 2 star. No more.
