This restaurant is a hidden gem served by the owners.
Everything was awesome: the decoration, the food, the service.
This restaurant made our evening very special.

This place is a must!! Absolutely lovely meal, best steak I’ve eaten in a very long time. The service was tremendous and the chef and his wife do a great job of tending to everyone in an efficient manner even though it’s only the two of them. The ambience is fantastic as well. Price was very reasonable also. Would definitely recommend!!

We have been twice to this lovely, small restaurant. Bookings are hard to come by as they are open only for dinner Wednesday-Sunday and from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. The ribeye steak is incredible and more than enough for two. My wife had salmon one night and loved it along with a delightful salad of arugula and baby scallops. The owners are so nice and incredibly accommodating.

Ordered the mushroom and toasted bread and Ojo Bief 450g (medium rare) for sharing with me and girlfriend as recommended by the owner.
Was disappointed when the beef was more rare than expected. Highlighted to the lady owner, who was apologetic and then had it re-cooked it to medium rare perfection! Great wine recommendation as well!

This place is a true gem. We went to great restaurants in Buenos Aires (Mishiguene), Mendoza (Azafran) and Bariloche (Stag), but La Salamandra Pulperia topped them all. We had the empanadas, the mushroom bruschetta, and the ribeye. That was more than enough food for two people. The steak easily topped any we had elsewhere in the country. Medium rare as requested with a great crust. The prices were also markedly lower than fine-dining restaurants in Buenos Aires. The bottle of wine we shared, for example, had minimal markup. Note that we could not find a way to reserve online, but our hotel used WhatsApp to snag a reservation.
