We had dinner at Ceibo last night. It is just next to Plaza Italia. It is an intimate restaurant with a few smaller rooms to dine in. The waitress did not have much English but the maitre d’ was able to help us with ordering. I had a shrimp and cheese empanada to start which was hot, tasty and had flakey pastry. We both ordered steak for mains - one with mashed potato the other with roast potatoes. The steak was very tasty, perhaps a little undercooked for how we asked but this has been a common experience for us in Argentina. The mashed potatoes were delicious while the roast potato was disappointing - it was more of a potato rosti. Overall, we enjoyed our meal.

The place is an old house. So tables in different rooms makes it pretty quiet. Recommendable for couples and not big groups.
The empanadas for starter are a must. Then if not looking for nice Argentinian meat, it has some other very nice options as salmon sorrentinos.
Quality / price relationship is optimal. It is not between the most famous popular restaurants in Mendoza but I highly recommend it.

We both had the fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection. Mashed potato was amazing. There are only 5 mains on the menu which I can only assume are all equally delicious.

Great service and very friendly staff! Highly recommend.

We visited this restaurant due to the existing excellent reviews and the fact that the menu did not seem too pricey.
My partner and I had a wonderful night. We both had an alcoholic drink, starter, main, dessert and coffee; the total bill came to £40. The food was of high quality, especially the steak and the Malbec was delicious.

Service by a waitress named Marie made our night perfect. She was professional, friendly and appreciated our efforts to converse in Spanish. She also spoke good English and made an effort to do so for us, as the only foreigners in the restaurant. She was kind enough to explain that the bill has 2 options and if we would like to pay with a service charge or without. We have found that many restaurants in South America simply add 10% as compulsory, so we were pleasantly surprised in Ceibo.

The ambience is very chilled, so you can really enjoy the tastes of Argentinian cuisine. Decor or music did not distract from the food.

The kitchen is also visible from the front entrance and the chef was friendly, smiling and waved us in. From a glimpse, it looked very organised and clean. It was 7pm, they had just opened and already had 3 tables.

Highly recommended for an affordable, high quality meal. Thank you Marie!

This restaurant has the most authentic atmosphere thinkable. A great experience. Both waiters were fluent in English and the food is both tasty and plenty.
This is all the important stuff. However Ceibo had a bad night with everything technical. The wifi didn't work, the air con was out of order and the movable credit card reader was dead.
If they fix all that and stock up on wines they will see a lot of five star reviews.
