This shows you how early life was for a Spanish Grandee governor and his family. Notice all the courtyards and the lack of hallways for communicating through the rooms. On one courtyard, I found five pigeon nests. It's a quiet place.

A lovely, spacious mansion that really holds a feeling for what daily life was like for the rich and powerful in eighteenth century Cordoba. Loved the authenticity, though don't see need to go as far as maintaining three hundred years of dust on everything. The English versions of the room descriptions are appalling; as if given under torture by someone from a call centre... Worth a visit though, particularly as there are so few, well preserved buildings from the colonial era.

The museum offers a good overview of life in colonial times in Cordoba. Much is still original.
During holidays, it is often closed, we can recommend the coffee shop Charlie Chaplin on the other side - very nice service.
