We loved the location of this apart-hotel! Great area! Hip bars & restaurants!!! The hotel was basic but very clean!! Nothing fancy- But can’t be beaten for the price. We had no issues with the entering with our fingerprints. We loved having two rooms. The staff was super helpful when we were trying to figure out our car reservation (or “non-reservation”).

We were fortunate to find Byblos Apartments through the Help Desk at the airport on the day of the Aerolineas Argentinas 24 hour strike. We arrived late and found the staff very accommodating and helpful. Our apartment was comfortable, clean and we felt inexpensive. It was a great location, close to the airport and surrounded with a good choice of wine bars and restaurants. Would stay there again.

toxic fumes are dumped into your bedroom while you sleep from the backup generators.

the locks on the doors don't let you leave in an emergency. Good luck if there is a fire. you might not be able to open the door to escape!

frequent power and internet cuts prevented me from communicating with my family back home. We lost internet multiple times per day and power would be cut for hours several times per month. It was not because the blackouts, because the lights would still work in the hallways. They just don't know how to wire a building.

the locks on the doors wont let you leave. if you are being harassed by a homeless person outside, you can't get to safety quickly.

The building itself is quite noisy but nice, except..
I stayed there for 2 months with and had problems from the start.
The main problem was the electric generator that they're running to power the building.
It causes a lot of noise on the lower floors, constant unexpected power failures and there's more...
I stayed in the room just above the exhaust pipe from that generator so at night it would fill up with fumes from it. It took 2 weeks of constant back and forth with the administration and lying from their side to get a different room.
They would tell us that they're changing the generator or that they've rerouted the exhaust pipe. But of course they didn't.
After I got a new room it still had some kind of weird smell, bad plumbing and lots of other problems that weren't fixed when I complained.
My advice: "avoid this place at all cost!"

Room Tip: Don't take rooms on the 2nd floor

We had a fantastic stay in the Byblos apart'hotel. Our room was spacious and with modern furniture. We had floor to ceiling windows in our in our corner suite, 2 balconies, one in our main room and one in our bedroom. We were ont he 7th Floor so we had great view of our area too. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils to stay in and cook. This is not an hotel so there are no reception and no key to get into the building. instead you get you finger printed electronically and you get in by using your thumb. there is someone in an office on the first floor in case you need some help or have any questions. We had a few and the service we received was very good, helpful and friendly. The Apart'hotel is in Palermo, very close to "plaza de immigrants de Armenia" with plenty of bars and restaurants. We really liked the place and will be using it again even if there were a few hick ups: the bathroom shower had a very slow drip... and showering was a bit of an expedition (trying to get wet). there was a leak under the bathroom sink so the floor kept getting wet. The attention to details... look closely and the apartment could do wit a few little repairs (door handle broken, shower head holder broken).
