Our experience at La Cabrera was exceptional.
We arrived without a booking and were greeted at the door. We waited less than 5 minutes for a table.
Once seated, we were given complimentary bread which was accompanied by the most delicious pâté and a small plate of olives.
We didn’t order any starters - this was a good decision as the meals were enormous! I ordered the butterfly cut with blue cheese - it was incredible. The steaks were accompanied with an array of different sauces and dips and complimentary mashed potato, pumpkin, and a side of polenta - they were delicious.
After our meal, we were served a complimentary glass of bubbles, shortbread and lollipops. A nice touch.
We couldn’t even finish the meal, it was so indulgent. The restaurant staff were more than happy to pack it all up for us to take home. They even gave us an extra serving of mashed potato and pumpkin to take home with us.
In total, for 2 steaks, a salad to share and a bottle of wine, our total bill came to approx. $100USD. The meal was worth every cent! We were expecting to pay a lot more for the exceptional service and all of the extras that were included. Our waiter, Luis (or Louis) was very attentive and although the restaurant was busy, he made us feel like we were a priority.
Tips were not included in the bill, so if you are planning to dine at La Cabrera, make sure you take enough cash to tip the waiters for an incredible experience.
