Amazing place, a lot of history inside, the tour guide was nice and clear. I really hope to assist to an event inside. Highly recommended.

The outside of this world-famous opera house is not all that inspiring, but the inside is magnificent. In some respects it seems similar to the Paris Opera House. The site is so popular a destination that it is sometimes difficult to get an English speaking tour. The first time I stopped by to get a ticket it was shortly after noon and the tickets were already gone for the day. So plan ahead.

If you are fortunate enough to visit BA when they have a performance, GO! Our private balcony of 6 was only $23.50 per person. We bought the tickets the same week. (We purchased them at their ticket office two days prior). To see and hear the orchestra and opera perform in such a magnificent venue was a memory that I am forever grateful. I only wish we could have organized our time better to have had a tour in English during the day.

The Colon Theater is not to be missed.Michael Baryshnikov called it the most beautiful theater that he had ever performed in. You don't need a private tour as the general tour gives you wonderful information and you do see it all. The Golden room will take your breath away.

Fully recommend to do the guided visit and if possibly go for a performance there. I enjoyed so much and felt it should have been quite an experience in it's golden time!
