“Perfect, just perfect”
Reviewed 27 November 2017 for a stay in September 2017

As another reviewer had stated when searching for the ideal Bali accommodation, that they kept returning to this one, as did I. Just something about it that grabbed me, and boy did it.

Met by Nengah, the house manager at the airport, what an amazing, lovely, hospitable chap. It was the early hours of the morning when we got to the villa, and our hosts had thought of everything, even thinking of getting us a pizza in and stocking up the fridge with famous Bali water. Negah still showed us round the villa and told us not to worry about sleeping in in the morning, it was all about the relaxing!

HUGE and soooooo comfy was the bed! Slept really well, woke up and went to the kitchen to make a cuppa. To get very politely told off for daring to touch the kettle by the lovely Ni Nengah Chivied down to the pagoda where breakfast was laid and moments later a lovely mug of tea was delivered. This was breakfast every morning, bliss, lovely mug of tea, plate of fruit, fresh fruit smoothie and eggs anyway cooked made to order. I had the pancake one day, OMG amazing, food coma for the rest of the day.

The villa is lovely, really, really spacious and kept very clean daily including the pool. The pool is huge and lovely to laze in with the noodles provided. My favourite place was the pagoda, overlooking the beach, watching the fishermen. And daily beach combing of the jetty where I found some glourious shells.

It was one of the fishermen, Nemo who took us out lots. He is amazing and so patient. I’m a rubbish swimmer and wanted to go snorkelling, he would take me out with a life jacket and I would hold on to a rubber ring while he pulled me along, we went to blue lagoon and spent a day at Virgin beach.

For other tours we used Mudra, recommended by Nengah, he was so lovely we used him the whole time. Wicked sense of humour too and does a brilliant Aussie accent.

The restaurants in Candidasa were all brilliant, it was very quiet there as unfortunately lots of people had been out off by the Volcano. We used the dining rooms opposite lots, pizza delivery was lush.

Turn left outside the villa, then take the first right road and there is a garden where they grow and sell coffee, lovely, lovely people there and we drank lots of different coffees, including lowak coffe, which was lush and really good value.

Loved Candidasa, will definitely return at some point, but the absolute making of the whole holiday was how kind the Balinese are. Never rude, never offensive, very polite, will constantly offer you taxi rides, a polite no and then a chat about football! Never in your face, never demanding or pushy. May be different in the heavily touristic areas of Bali, but we only went to Kuta once, so can’t really comment. Always wanting to chat, had some amazing different chats to many varied people, loved it.

Oh and the sacred Bali water and yummy local food.

My thanks to the people of Bali for our lovely, memory filled holiday. Geoff and Louise, thank you both too, for all the updates prior to us being there and thinking about all the little extras that we might like. Xxxx

Management Response
29 Nov 2017
Hi there ! - and THANK YOU for your review, greatly appreciated. It is always nice to read peoples feedback ... gives us a good idea if we are doing everything right (we think we are, but hearing from guests is always the true indication). It is fantastic to hear that you had a great time at the villa, the surrounding area, and even down in Kuta. Good also to hear that English people (known for their warm beers) like the local drop (served cold here ~ the "sacred water" ~ Bintang ~ lol). Will read this out to the staff tomorrow - as THEY are one of the keys to this place, bricks and mortar are one thing, but the heart and soul of the place is our wonderful staff. Thank you once again - we hope to see you back here again one day. Regards, Geoff, Louise, Nengah, Ni Nengah, Wayan and Nyoman

Villa Rindik offers all you need. Manager, Nengah, is so obliging as are all staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Delicious breakfasts included in tariff. Washing, ironing done.
Anything you need is organised almost before you think of it!! If you want great accomodation and service it is perfect here. Many restaurants, warungs, shops, pharmacy, all close walking distance. Immerse yourself in the warmth of Candidasa and Villa Rindik and you won't be disappointed .
Had our fourth stay here this June/July and will return before too long.

“Absolute Paradise”

We were two couple belatedly celebrating our wedding anniversaries (37 years and 31 years). Villa Rindik is an absolute delight on many, many levels.

LOCATION: This is in the perfect position in Candidasa with everything in very close walking distance. Walk out the front of the villa and you have numerous restaurants, bars, bottle shop and supermarket. Stop for a cocktail in the bar right across the road and catch up with all the people you have met during the day. Out the back door you have absolute ocean views and you get to say hello to the local fishermen going to their boats. This is the best way to organise a day out on the water. We went with Nemo for a day of snorkelling and could not fault him. Then at night you get to see all the candles placed along the jetty - an utterly romantic setting.

STAFF: The staff were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and amazing. Nengah, Ni Nengah and Wayan provided the most delicious breakfast every morning. You have to try the banana pancakes - they are very yummy. Everything was done with a smile and Nengah can organise ANYTHING! He knows his way around the local area. Want a cooking class? He can arrange. Like some Babi Gulung? No problem.

COMFORTS: The main living room is generous in size and generously appointed. Lovely comfortable Balinese furniture. There are lots of little extras like books, games, DVDs, CDs, champagne and wine glasses. You name it and it is on hand. The beds were very comfortable.

OUTDOOR AREA: This area is very cleverly designed. Instead of having an infinity pool with a view of the ocean, a pergola has been placed at the beach end of the property. This means you can sit in your outdoor dining room and soak in the beach all day long. We worked out that we spend far more time in the chairs than in the pool so we'll swap out an infinity pool for a pergola any day. Start your day with breakfast overlooking the ocean and end it with a nightcap overlooking the ocean - just beautiful.

COMMUNICATION: Communication with owners Geoff and Louise was a breeze, They organised airport transfers and even had some beers and wine waiting in the fridge for our late arrival. Every question was quickly responded to. Although they are sometimes living upstairs in the villa, you wouldn't even know they were there. They completely respect the privacy of their guests.

SPECIAL EXTRAS: When we arrived we had a lovely card and flower arrangement awaiting each couple to celebrate our anniversaries. This was such a nice touch. As previously mentioned, Nengah picked us up from the airport on our arrival into Bali at a very reasonable price.

ALL UP: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa and are already booking again for 2017.

Tracy, JJ, Ces and Frank.

We had a wonderful stay for three weeks Aug 25 - Sep 15 2016. ( 22 nights )
We were a couple from Sweden in our sixties. From New Zealand came our two daughters with our grandchildren 1,5 3,5 9 and 16 years old. Not all at the same time......
We were ALL very happy about EVERYTHING staying i Candidasa and Villa Rindik,
Thank you to the staff ( Nengah , Ni Nengah , Wayan and others ) You made us feel like family rather than guests. Thank you to Geoff and Louise....you were there if we needed you , otherwise invisible :-)
Superb breakfasts served with oceanview from the gazebo.
The pool , perfectly cleaned every morning , was big enough for all of us and great even for the small children, ( with armpads )
The Villa has great space for a big family. Three bedrooms and kitchen/livingroom,
TV with hundreds of channels, news , sports , children. I watched Chelsea FC playing in the middle of the night with my eldest grandson and the small kids could relax with films when thy have had enough swimming and sun .
Candidasa is a wonderful little Town. One mainroad with 50+ restaurantes, shops , ATM , massage . Just across the road is The Bakery ( not just bread ) so cheap, so good.
Next door ( walk 25 meters left on the beach ) is a great hotel with fantastic food.
and so on........ In three weeks we never were served anything we did not like.
Dont miss snorkling...best in Bali. Villa manager Nengah will help you booking one of the boats you see from the villa.

SO, a warm thank you to everyone at Villa Rindik from Helena , Jan , Athina , Josh , Phoenix, and Clara , Johnny , Bjorn , Benjamin
