We had a great stay. The owner is so nice We accidentally took the keys when leaving and they were still nice and helping us send it back. Breakfast is amazing and everything is clean. Location is perfect!

Review of The Avenues Guest Lodge

The breakfast was fresh, tasty and filling. The room was secluded enough to not cause disturbance from guests using the lounge/dining area - previously stayed in the house and it's uncomfortable noise-wise. The room was also quite spacious, clean, and all the little extras (cotton buds, shoe mitt, bath salts) makes the cost worthwhile. The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance and it's safe.
Our room had twin beds - good for singles, but awkward for a couple. Breakfast is served too early, especially if one is on holiday. There were some students staying there and they were very noisy, Saturday evening was understandable, but not Sunday :(

Dear Leslynn! Thank you for the review. Remember you booked online so you picked the room and the beds. It is always so sad for me if people leave and tell you how great everything is and then they go to social media and give a whole list of complains. The students were a group of students from Canada that went a bit crazy for their last weekend in South africa that is why i personally went and asked them twice to be quiet - so the problem was addressed. Breakfast is not that early if you think about people getting up to go for smoke breaks much earlier than that. We are sorry the two nights here did not go as you wished. Wishing you a wonderful day further!

Very friendly and nicely decorated. Rooms were clean and tea and coffee was provided in the room. There was great sunbathing and seating areas around the pool, which was not large, but a bonus in a guest house.
Bernice went out of her way to help, one day getting us a taxi at a moment's notice when we were let down by Bolt. We almost lost a restaurant booking for lunch but she saved the day.
Room tip: Just ask Bernice for restaurant advice.

We loved every minute of our stay. Bernice was so welcoming and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is in walking distance of downtown Stellenbosch. We enjoyed the breakfast selections and the peace and quiet of the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there’s a pool and enclosed garden for guests to relax and enjoy.

It was very nice to visit Stellenbosch again. The location of the guesthouse is perfect; only a short walk to the citycenter and restaurants. Parking was fine in front of our hotelroom. The breakfastroom and the garden were nice.

Very nice guesthouse with all the comfort you need and a very good breakfast. . Bernice is a very nice person and we felt very welcome. Nice garden with (small) swimming pool. 10 minutes walk from the center of Stellenbosch and several restaurants.
