Wow!! What a great lunch this was. So great, we even went back two days later. The staff is amazing. We were served by Tendai and Learny, two amazing talented youngmen from Zimbabwe with a passion for hospitality and genuine interest in their guests.

The food is amazing. The ribs the springrolls are our favorite, but the salads and fishdishes are also very nice. If you have a sweettooth go easy on the extra dishes so you save some room for dessert. They have an amazing winelists, not only serving their own wines but many other wines from all the world.

One of the best lunches we've ever had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food and wine selection at Indochine - lovely setting, lovely menu to choose from (we enjoy Asian inspired food), and lovely Agatha served us. Great evening out - not cheap, but thoroughly enjoyable for a special occasion.

If you like tasteful asian fusion food this is the right place. Take a predrink on the terrace before the dinner to see the sunset and then prepare to eat wonderful food. Still one of our favourit restaurant in SA. I highly recommend Indochine.

Overpriced , bad experience . Overspiced!!!! Only 3 tables . The most expensive and least enjoyable meal in 5 weeks in Cape town. You find much better places for better prices, 850 for the menu , without drinks . Fish is raw, uneatable.
The vieuw is beautiful, that is it.

We had a delicious dinner at indochine. Very nice combinations of flavors and textures. So we will definitely recommend this place. Our waiter however, we recommend a hospitality course.

He started nice and assertive, but in 10 minutes he changed completely leaving us several times speechless (and trust me, in case of my wife that is really something).

It started at our choice of wine. A colleague of our waiter advised us earlier to choose the chenin blanc (good with hot stuff). Not sure if he didn’t like his colleague, wanted to offend his chef or the wine (from their own Delaire Graff domain) really tastes like rocket fuel, but he responded: “Oh no, that’s a poor choice, then you don’t taste the food at all.”

Instead he recommended a - of course - much more expensive wine. After telling him that we really wanted to taste a wine from their own estate, he stood by his recommendation. Ok, we ignored his advise and went for a nice wine from Delaire Graff. Silly us. Our waiter, with a look of smelling sh.. at his face, responded: “Oh, I thought you wanted a special night, but in stead I guess it’s going to be an average night.” How nice to say that of your own wines (out of his body language we distilled that - in his humble opinion - all of the estate’s wines weren’t that good)

However, after a first taste my wife tells the waiter that the wine is great! His response: “Oh, is it, really?” But he just got started, so we discovered.

My wife, in a second attempt of being polite: “the view is beautiful.” Stupid remark I guess, because our friendly waiter responded: “Is it? Ok, I grew up here so for me it is just boring.” And so he kept going on.

In the end, it didn’t ruin our evening. He probably has had a bad day and luckily for us our wine combinatorial perfectly with the wonderful food that came out of the kitchen.
