This weekend my husband and I visited this hotel and let me tell you, it is gorgeous!! the staff was fantastic and Namhla, the receptionist gave us such a warm welcome. what i also liked is how the hotel isn't really the typical hotel building, its like cottages so you have a nice sense of privacy.
We needed a quick get away from the CBD and found the best spot in Stellies.
Staff were incredibly warm and helpful, especially Namhle at reception. The property is walking distance to the restaurants and bars on the main road which kept us entertained, however they is a very lovely restaurant on the property serving hearty dinners and delicious breakfasts.
The room was very well appointed with a gorgeous stand alone bath to indulge in. Country living at its best. We were sad to leave.
Definitely worth a visit! highly recommend:)

Our 4th stay at SS de Wagen. A perfect romantic evening/weekend getaway. From luxurious surroundings and exquisite furnishing and bedding makes a worthwile visit. Great and easily accessable location to town. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommendable.

We had an unbelievable stay at Southern Sun De Wagen, In the heart of Stellenbosch. We were met by friendly front office staff who made us feel so welcomed. We were showed our room and staff took extra time to explain the room to us. Even offer to start a cosy fire for us in our room. The Room was spacious and had all the amenities. The next morning we had breakfast in "De Volkskombuis". TOP quality

The ambiance was extremely nice. Everything was beautiful, clean, and organized in the room. The workers at the check in were very helpful as they reserved a table for us at a nice restaurant upon request. We also enjoyed some complimentary wine when we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay here.
