It's our honeymoon and we wanted to make the most of our limited time in Stellenbosch by having a private guide who would share knowledge and experience of wine, and also arrange a special and romantic day for us.
I emailed over the brief and got a fast response from Eileen. I was immediately confident I was dealing with a professional firm that would deliver what what we wanted (in fact we ended up expanding our tour to two days to also cover Franschhoek which they accommodated very last minute).
What we actually got was beyond all expectations that we had. Eileen is clearly very passionate about wine and we learnt so much during our time with her.
The wine estates she took us to were simply wonderful. Eileen had really thought about what we wanted and had arranged tastings at some very beautiful, intimate estates and tasting the wines whilst looking out over some truly stunning scenery is something we will never forget.
She picked out the wines at each tasting so we were able to sample a wide range of varieties, but also the ones she thought we would like best based on our tastes.
As a side note, Eileen was very clear that we were not under any pressure to buy any wine at any of the estates.
She arranged lunch for us on both days and both restaurants were excellent. Again, stunning views at both.
Car we were driven in was very comfortable.
I can't recommend this enough. You won't be disappointed.
