The hotel is a hidden pearl. They only have 7 rooms, all with beautiful views of the mountains, albeit the view from their one and only standard room is less impressive than from the other rooms. However still fine. The atmosphere is luxurious, the staff is very helpful and moves quietly around you. Breakfast is very good and so is the kitchen for dinner. The pool area fits well to the number of guests and is well equipped. You are in the middle of the vineland and close to several high class golf courses. Book early or you will miss the opportunity to stay at this superb place.

Room Tip: Room 3 is a standard room; choose room 1 or 2 - a bit more expensive - but the view are as outstandi...

My partner and I were lucky enough to be asked if we'd like a look thru Clouds after we'd had
a lovely lunch next door (which we also loved!) on Christmas Eve. The manager welcomed us in and showed us to the back dining area and bar that over looks the nice pool, stunning mountain backdrop and lovely gardens. A handful of guest were enjoying the pool and being looked after by attentive staff while we were immediately asked to take a seat and if we'd like a wine. Of course! No sooner had she come back with a wine for us she ducked off and got us some potato chips to nibble on before asking us all about our Australian wines and chatting away to us. A lovely lady. I fell in love with the small intimate winery and surrounds and decided it's the place for a special celebration with close friends. I've told my friends and they are all keen. Originally I thought my 50th but that's too long to wait. Maybe we'll do 45! Every birthday is special and so is this perfect place. We were even invited back Christmas afternoon to hang out!

Recently stayed in this fabulous hotel for 4 nights. The location was absolutely stunning with beautiful mountain vistas. The hotel was first class, with excellent facilities. The breakfast and evening meals were of a very high standard. Would definitely choose to stay here again if we revisit South Africa.

Clouds is set in a dramatic setting about 10 minutes drive from Stellenbosch (probably one of the best views I've ever had) & right beside Delaire Graf Wine Estate & Tokara, both of which are wonderful, with restaurants & wine tasting. You can also walk around Delaire Graf amongst the vines, if you fancy a bit of exercise. If not they will take you up there by golf buggy. The team at Delaire Graf will then bring you back.
There are only 7 rooms of varying standards plus 5 villas set apart from the main building. The rooms are gorgeous, most with stunning views of the mountains in front & over the valley below. There is a lovely pool again with stunning views. Our room (2) was lovely with a great big bathroom with bath.
They have a good restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner plus snacks.
The staff are lovely & made our stay very enjoyable.
Thank you!
