As De Warenmarkt is literally our kitchen away from home, we visit it almost every day. The new oyster/mussel bar is a wonderful addition to rest of the restaurant. We love the fact that we can have an oyster or 2 before sitting down to a steak. The meats at De Waren is grass fed beef, by Ryan Boon. I love that I can pick my meat and have it cooked.
But back to the oysters. The is going to get harder and harder to walk past this counter/bar without a quick stop. The oyster ladies are also both very good and friendly.
As they normally come with champagne, do also try with the Amber weiss from CBC. it is a wonderful pairing.
