This quaint and pretty Victorian venue is very welcoming with it's shady trees and beautiful old Victorian House. Each table has an unusual teapot used for the floral arrangement on the table. The food was tasty but presented in quite a mediocre manner which was not if the same calibre as the décor and look of the venue. The service was not great either. They took ages to take our older and then we waited ages for 2 untoasted sandwiches and iced tea! A bit disappointing for a place with such potential. They can do with a shake up by management!

It was my college roomate''s birthday and we had a fabulous time with great food and fantastic coffee. Debbie, the owner is very involved and always makes sure that everyone feels welcome.

My hubby booked high tea for my birthday - and we invited 2 friends. The place is beautiful and the owner Debbie was in attendance and super friendly to my 88 year old friend. Thank you for making an old lady feel special today Debbie. The great service, lovely tea, lemonade , wraps and exquisite scones along with the beautiful setting made the day for us. As a special mention - the manager and his team at the nursery on the property were also extremely attentive.

This is a lovely outing for the whole family when you have time to chill out and take in the setting.

We where a crowd of 5 people, of whom 2 people where visitors from jhb. We wanted to show off the pretty venue. When we arrived we weren’t welcomed by any waiters. Whe had to go to the waiter’s ourselves and ask them where we can be seated. A female waitress advised us that we can go and sit over there (and pointed her finger at the table where we where supposed to go and sit down at).

After moving our own table into the shade (because it was the only table available and was in direct sunlight) the waitress only appeared much later to ask if we where ready to order.

We ordered tea etc. and received our order within reasonable time wherefore i cannot complain about though.

During and after we consumed our order and was ready to pay our bill and leave. No one actually came to us asking if we where okay or if we needed anything else.

We decided to get up and go and pay at the counter...

While standing waiting at the counter to pay our bill, there was a time gap of at least 4 minutes before another waitress appeared to us, not even asking if she could be of our assistance immediately.
We had to advise her that we want to pay and leave. Than only she helped us after we told her why we are standing there....

Just a little unhappy with the service....

We go there this morning service wasn’t good,im sorry im also a waiter but the service we received today was not good.

First to start:We came in and some waiter said to us we can go sit there under tree, without any direct to us or walk us to the table she just stood there and we must do our own thing.

Second: no one came to the table and ask if we were fine nothing,we even go to take our own bill and pay infront thats not service im sorry, and its a shame cause it’s such a nice place.
