Clean, spacious, great views and the hosts (Ben and Hilga) are fantastic. Breakfast is excellent (though a little pricey for SA). Great location for exploring the fabulous wine regions or simply relaxing.

Room tip: The new cottages are excellent!

We stayed in the Talblick cottage for 6 nights in December. Beautiful property, stunning views, really quiet for some great rest and relaxation time! The owners are an older German couple, very kind and helpful.

The cottage has a small bedroom, bathroom with an open shower area, and open plan kitchen living room. The floors are fully concrete with a few rugs laid out. Some really good quality appliances in the kitchen. There is no wardrobe, just a rail to hang your clothes and some shelving.

Sitting out on the veranda in the evenings is a wonderfully relaxing experience. They have also provided two sun loungers in the area and there is a bbq.

The farm is about 10 mins drive from the main Paarl village.

The cottage is advertised as having an 'extra large double bed' when infact it has two small twin beds. With the cottage being fairly new, there are a few teething problems, we had ac not working, other bits breaking etc. They tried to get things fixed but we would have appreciated if it had been checked before we arrived.
Housekeeping was done daily but was quite a light touch, areas not cleaned, sheets not changed, old towels picked up off floor and hung up. When I asked for fresh ones they did changed them. Laundry was also provided which was very quick.

All in all a great property in a stunning location, just needs a bit more maintenance, otherwise I can see it getting rundown very quickly!

Finally, the owners grow their own veg on the farm -which they let us pick and gave us freshly laid eggs every day! We really appreciated this!

Wonderful guest cottages with everything you need. Crisp white linen, leather sofa's, great little kitchen and spectacular views. So much so I cancelled a restaurant reservation, bought a cooked chicken and a bottle of white wine and rather sat on the veranda and watched the sun go down over the valley and mountains.
Air conditioning for when it gets too warm. Our host Helga was always happy to help at anytime. Just wish we had more time to enjoy the surroundings.

Great place, very clean and friendly hosts. Didn't appreciate the provocative steel artwork though - having been there with small children. We stayed in poolside apartment - very spacious and value for money. Can't use braai though as it is overgrown with plants. DSTV channels are limited - good expand on this, including a more comfortable lounge suite for relaxation.

This Guestfarm owned and run by a lovely german couple is the perfect place for you to start your Vineland Adventures. The owners are hardworking and very reliable but still always there for a friendly chat. They even prepared two of their cottages befor the actual season opening (thanks again for that Helga and Bernd!). Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are a stonethrow away but the cottages are in a hidden and very quite place. It's heaven on earth.
