There is a glass shelf above the toilet which have a very sharp pointed edge. When you put your toiletries on the cistern and you bend over you get a nasty cut on your head.. The shower have enough room for a shelf for toiletries .

Thank you for your review. There are shelves within the big shower, but the Hotel Grading Council requested that we install more shelves, because the bathroom have limited space.

The food was exquisite and prefectly presented. The staff is attentive led by Mr Kiewiet, these guys know how to treat quests. The fare was fresh and the Chef is a master at work. We could not rate it highly enough.

Relaxed, friendly service, just what was needed.
Would have liked dinner in The Colony on Sunday evening, but do understand the financial impact when the hotel is not sufficiently booked.
Enjoyed the beer on the terrace overlooking the main road.

Thank you for the review and your understanding about the Restaurant. Some evenings we have 5 staff on duty there and only 2 people pitch up. We do open if the number of booked rooms in the hotel exceed 10 and for advance booking of 10 and more.

Wonderful nice hotel, the inly problem was the bar, It was very expensive and when I ordered a beer it was warm, at R40 a beer. On our return later I asked for Bells whiskey, which they did not have. When I asked which whiskeys they have the barman said only Jamesons, at R45 a tot. So a double whiskey and soda would have cost me more than R100 and is also unacceptable that a 4 star hotel only has Jamesons and no other whiskeys in stock.

Thank you for your review. The problem with the limited stock in the bar is the result of COVID19. We are struggling to ensure that our expenses meet the limited income due the the very low occupancy.

The hotel has been refurbished and is in very good condition. It is located centrally. Staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room and bathroom were on the small side but OK. Overall highly recommended.
