The rooms here are little cottages around a central green and the gardens are lovely. but it is a little out of town so you really need to drive in the heat.
The room was freshly decorated but the bed was very soft and uncomfortable. The wifi was extremely patchy and the bathroom had the worst lighting I've experienced in years, one light bulb plus an ultra dingy LED around the mirror.
There's a nice swimming pool but when my husband went out for his pre breakfast swim it was being maintained and he wasn't allowed in. Another pool was suggested but this belonged to the suites so, despite them being vacant, this wasn't allowed. Not the best customer service in the Age of Covid when the hotel was almost empty. Bed very soft.
Breakfast was excellent, served in a gazebo in the garden although the service was slow and we struggled to get our coffee topped up. We ate in the dining room one evening but, again, service was slow and the food was a bit like school dinners! More
