stayed just one day/overnight on garden route trip with Ilios. Delighted with all the facilities --great rooms and grounds with nice pool etc. Quiet as low season but great food and service.Would expect it to be lively in high season as outdoor BBQ facility there and big outside stage area suggests active entertainment etc.C.hapel on grounds for weddings

Beautiful property in the midst of lush Olive farm. Rooms are large and spacious, contemporary style. They have great staff, always with a smile on their face, passionately trying to help guests experience a memorable stay. Lunch was excellent, super tasty and fresh (stuffed chicken breast and Mornay sauce with some panna cotta. This is a must visit place if you are in this area, especially when you are on a road trip. Beautiful!

This is a 4 star rated establishment. The rooms are 5 star, large and very comfortable.Breakfast was superb and central location as to Canco Caves.Highly recommended. You are next door to Buffelsdrift Lodge and worth having a sundown visit for dinner.

Room tip: Ask for a room near the main pool. They are new.

Had a one-night stay here during our driving trip. Really nice setting and nice welcome although rooms were a little dark.
Main issue was the dining room. Lack of organisation and poor service at dinner. Long wait for a menu and food was not hot when it arrived. Breakfast was disappointing - buffet style and not very appetising.
When these issues were drawn to the hotel's attention the next day they responded positively and took comments on board

This is a convenient stopover for the Swartsberg pass, local caves and many other great attractions. Worth a detour from the classic wine/ garden route.
Set within a working olive farm, the location is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Reception staff v helpful. Rooms are very good, well equipped but they are block/motel style so do not have any appeal but they do work well. The WiFi is very weak to zero.
The restaurant provides excellent food though it does lack ambience except for the wonderful views though these disappear when the sun sets!
Contrary to dinner, breakfast is awful. It is buffet style and with hot dishes gradually getting cold it is just is not up to any sort of decent standard. Rubbery eggs and cold bacon are the norm. Simple to fix really. There is not a lot of good accommodation in this area so this is a good bet but set your sights too high on breakfast.
