Description: At the Foodbarn Restaurant, we serve the food that Franck is famous for … delicious and decadent ‘fine-dining’ style food but in a super relaxed and characterful old barn.At the Deli during the day, you are invited into our ‘home-from-home’ by the tantalizing aroma’s of the fresh bread and the best coffee in the Valley, the uber friendly and caring service, chef Joccelyn’s delicious creations, and more.At night the Deli is transformed into a delightful tapas bar serving inspired dishes with amazing textures and flavours.Whichever Foodbarn you are in … we look forward to spoiling you

Reservation highly recommended as it is rightly very popular. The atmosphere provides for romantic, intimate setting, with superb service, excellent food, gourmet presentation, and good value compared to America or Europe.

We went there last night. Fantastic as always. The lamb chops are the best. There were four of us. Mainly British folk. We had an eclectic spread. Sirloin, lamb, prawns etc. then Irish coffee. Fantastic. Expensive.

Lunch at Food Barn (not the deli). Been there twice before, once it was great - the next time it was not. Seems consistency is not their strong suit.
The food:
I had the bouillabaisse starter which was really good, the sirloin main was overdone but tender and tasty. The crepe suzette desert was just ok, something you could easily do at home with a couple of pancakes, not amazing.
Service started fairly well, however after the starters were delivered we were left unattended with no opportunity to top up drinks. Eventually we had to flag down a random waitress in order to get our drinks.
Mains were delivered without the sides of fries, salad etc. No sign of our waiter. Eventually after getting half way through my main course I had to get up and go inside to see whether we could track the side dishes down.
Hints of greatness but unfortunately missing too many ingredients.

The Food Barn Deli is a favourite place of ours for breakfast though getting a table especially on a Saturday morning can be a problem. The restaurant has expanded on several occasions and now has outside seating as well as far more seats inside.

The breakfast is expensive but large and delicious. On this occasion we ate ‘the whole goose’ – bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, sautéed potatoes, toast and juice. They cook the best poached eggs – firm white and runny yolks – mmm. Service is friendly and efficient and despite being busy we were served in an acceptable time. Other breakfast items also look delicious.

We will definitely be back.
