Very good all round. Welcome at arrival was good. We told the lady we were only staying the day and the recommendation on where to go was spot on (tapas bar at thesan island is a must do!) Room was spotless. Breakfast was great. Very friendly staff. Some issues with mozzies and a little noisy with traffic, but that was minor compared to beautiful location. Highly reccomend. Thanks.

Coming from the travel industry, I must say Bridgewater was the best choice for our holidays in the Garden Route. Rooms are beautiful in an English Style and super comfortable. Amazing and friendly service, really homy. Yummy and complete breakfast, used to be the best part of the day. And the location is perfect, close to the waterfront and on the way to all attraction in the surrounds. I will definitely recommend the accommodation. We would like to thank you very much for all the attention with us. We hope to be back soon to Knysna!

We returned to Bridgewater again this year, and as always Lyn and Pat were kindness itself. They always spare time from their busy schedule to talk to us and we learn much about South Africa. We had the upstairs front bedroom which had a lovely balcony and a view over the lagoon. Breakfast was everything you could ever wish for including Bovril and Marmite. Free wi-fi too. I'm hesitant to recommend it, as there may be no room for us when we want to come again .

Room tip: Maybe the back is quieter, but we had no trouble sleeping ina front room.

Stayed one night at Bridgewater. We had a courtyard facing twin room that was spacious and elegantly furnished. We encountered no problems of traffic noise from the N2 as mentioned in some reviews.

The courtyard had outdoor seating and there was free wifi and parking. The breakfast was sumptuous and elaborate.

The rooms do not have air conditioning so it could get a tad warm in the summer. We did not face this problem since it was cooler on the day we were here.

Room tip: the courtyard twin is a large room with a king/twin beds
