We were excited about staying at Bridgewater B&B and the visit lived up to its expectations!! We travel extensively for business but this time, it was a leisure trip.
The B&B is well located. It's approximately a 2-3 minute drive into town and a 10 minute walk (all flat surfaces) to the waterfront.
The place overlooks the lagoon, which is picturesque and lovely to view.
Lynn and Pat welcomed us when we checked in, which was fast and efficient. They provided a good overview of Knysna. We were shown an aerial photo of Knysna which assisted to us find our bearings. In addition, we were given good recommendations of restaurants and things to do.
We stayed in the family room, and the 2 rooms had a good layout, with lovely furniture. It was obvious that the owners have a well implemented maintenance strategy for the rooms and the overall site. The rooms also have little touches such as warm water bottles and a torch (which my son was very amused with). However, the bathroom was a bit small but we would choose that room again based on the room layout.
We also had access the large fridge in the kitchen to store our own purchases. Plus the selection of drinks and wines available for purchase is good and at very competitive prices.
The staff working at the B&B were friendly at all times, with constant smiles.

They also have a variety of rooms, which cater for families, single's, and couples.
The breakfast is lovely. The hot breakfast is comprehensive (bacon, egg, mushrooms, toast, hash browns, sausage and tomato). Good variety of teas, with the standard coffee options. Very filling and kept me going until lunch time.
One of us celebrated a birthday and Lynn decorated the table with lovely flowers from the garden. Thanks for the personal touch!
The wifi worked well.
A place worth recommending!More
