I stayed in May 2017 and was completely charmed by the accommodation, staff and level of service provided. The cottages were delightful; all mod cons in a picturesque setting. The bath-shower room was enormous. There was a good choice for dinner and breakfast was a substantial buffet to suit all.More
We were so sorry to of the damage caused by the recent wild fires that hit Knysna and the surrounding area. This place was exceptionally in every way and the staff were so amazing. We just loved it here. I hope it's not too long before it is back up and running. Stayed in one of the chalets which were fabulous, loved the log fire. Food in the restaurant was wonderful as was breakfast. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back.

We stayed here in March, 2017 & it was beautiful. Thatched roof "duplex rooms were charming. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were with a tour group of 36 people and everything ran smoothly. So sad to here that it burned.

Our main concern is taking care of our wonderful staff and we hope to keep as many of them on as possible while we plan the re-build of our hotel and restaurant, which we hope to open in the latter part of 2018. We had a large group booking. The accommodation was charming, I loved the colour scheme in my room it was very calming. The air conditioning kept cutting in & out but was not distracting. Personally, I would not complain about any of the services provided at Knysna Hollow, I would certainly stay there again. The staff were very friendly, the porters were very quick to deliver our luggage to our rooms. The fireplace in the lounge/dining area was welcoming on a cool/wet evening (umbrellas were available in the foyer to get from reception to the rooms), & there was a fine selection of food for our evening meal & breakfast. A gift shop is at the entrance to the foyer but it was not opened when we arrived late in the afternoon & had only just opened as we were leaving. It had a nice selection of gifts but did not see the prices. On a nice warm day it would be lovely to sit by the pool with a glass of wine & a book & take some time out, but when you are on a very busy coach tour that is a bit hard to do. ....maybe next time I will have more time to R&R at this lovely place.

Food was good. Accomodation nice, room was a bit cool. Internet only in main building. Staff probably above average for S Africa. Seperate tv room was great. Shower had 2 shower sides, his and her showers lol

The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is great, 5 minutes from central Knysna.
This is the umpteenth time we have stayed there and we have never been disappointed, the times when something went wrong the management got it fixed very quickly.
The food is good. Breakfast is full English with some Continental dishes offered.
The bar is well stocked with a good selection of South African wines, craft beers and standard SA beers.
Dinners are tasty with enough selection of local and international dishes.
The hotel is popular with international groups touring in South Africa.
