Owner description: The walk follows over 1km of wooden board walks and bridges across streams and is entirely wheelchair friendly and ideal for the elderly wanting to visit the forest. There is a number of wooden benches and tables along the trail to sit, snack, picnic or enjoy your 'padkos'. Water and ablution facilities.

I'm not really into birds but the whole experience was wonderful, it's set in beautiful grounds and the walk round is so interesting.
There's also a lovely little café where we had a yummy afternoon tea

Thank Lianne C

So many types of birds. You can get really close especially when they are at the feeding stations. Some are quite tame and not at all frightened to be close to you. My husband had one standing on each shoe trying to eat his shoelaces!

You can do this on your own, with family, kids or friends, it is very safe and an easy short walk in a forest (it is wheelchair friendly). On your way to Plettenberg Bay (Knysna behind you) - turn left from the highway, parking next to the highway. Bring your own picnic something to eat and listen to the birds - a peaceful walk. The trees are old, very interesting to read more about them. Lots of photo opportunities, not crowded - you need to pay a small entrance fee. A must stop in the Garden Route. Knysna is know for its forests and this way you can experience it without a effort on you way.

We visited Garden to kill time not expecting it to be anything special. We were wrong. It was great fun. €2 for the two of us and we spent hours here. Definitely worth it. We genuinely had a great time. I have never before seen birds like this before. So many different ones. lovely colours and sounds. Very funny yet relaxing to watch them.

I can't describe the joy on the faces of my two kids. Birds' colours and features with all the green colour surrounded insured us that we are going to enjoy a lovely day.
