We stayed two nights in Double Dutch and can thoroughly recommend it. It is a 10 minute walk from town, and has outstanding views over the lagoon. The room we had was very spacious, very comfortable, well appointed. The gardens and the pool area are well laid out ; the breakfast was top rate , freshly cooked eggs whichever way you liked !
The owners were very helpful in suggesting places to see and in booking trips and restaurants. Would certainly use again.

Room Tip: All the rooms on the top level of the garden have outstanding views

Kate & Natalie certainly are great hosts. Our accommodation was perfect, with views across the lagoon, bed comfortable and was cleaned daily. Breakfasts were prepared to order and made a great start to the day. The greatest help we received was from their advice and their booking of our evening restaurant visits. they seem to know absolutely every restaurant in Knysna and the surrounding area and so were able to advise which met our needs for that time... during our week, we never ate in the same restaurant twice although we could have visited each one again.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden room

Double Dutch was probably our best stop whilst travelling along the Garden Route. Kate and Nathalie are friendly hosts and make you feel more as if you are entering their home rather than a guest house. With lovely little touches, from a complimentary drink upon arrival to Nespresso facilities in the room, lovely breakfast, everything makes you feel completely relaxed.

The rooms are very spacious (we stayed in Albatross) and the gardens surrounding the property are enjoyable whilst sitting on the veranda area outside the room. We would highly recommend taking advantage of both Kate and Nathalie's local knowledge, from where/when to visit places to eating out (The Oliver Tree was our personal favourite).

We stayed for 4 nights in total and used Knysna as a basecamp for exploring a fair bit of the surrounding area. I can't fault Double Dutch in any way! Just make sure you stay for longer than one night!

From the cheerey welcome from Kate to the farewell gift when we left, this place is tops. Great room and all the amenities you could want, excellent breakfast and lovely pool and views.
Kate and Natalie are naturals at this and nothing was too much; they organised every evening meal, that where fantastic, and the taxis.
I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone and everyone, we will definitely return.

We booked a room on Double Dutch on short notice . We were nicely greeted and informed about the facilities that seemed to be great. Unfortunately we got a room facing the back with a roof-fan that was noisy,. The bathroom was excellent, the hostess welcoming and breakfast nutritious. On the improve, I suggest that WiFi is a low hanging fruit and that the room is aired.
