Next time please inform guest in advance about other activities that take place at the hotel to avoid confusion. However, the stay was fantastic, would like to stay the whole week next time, kids and wife were impressed.

Was super nice to be back at Simola. The grounds are still well looked after and the weather played along nicely. A perfect weekend get away. Knysna has many restaurants so you are spoilt for choice. The burnt landscape was horrific to see. By our next visist all will be green again.

Thanks for your review.

Simola Hotel & Golf Estate was very fortunate to have very little damage on the Estate. As you have seen it is mostly the rough that was burn and some damage down at the river.

We have had some rain on Sunday which we are extremely greatfull for. Soon the landscape will be green again.

Knysna will rise again and we hope to welcome you back to Simola and Knysna very soon.

Simola took my breath away. We arrived late and the staff was ever so friendly. The food at the restaurant was magnificent as well as the service.
Our room was spectacular but a little bit cold. The only thing I missed the entire weekend was an extra blancket.

I am sorry to hear that you did not have a blanket in your room. These should be placed in all the cupboards (shame you should have asked Reception to provide you with one)

Had a wonderful time. Only this that the property is away from the bay. When i called asking if i could be picked up from bay to return back, i was told to find a taxi & return. My suggestion is the hotel shd have a pickup/ drop if not hourly, but atleast on request.

Thank you for your review.

You are correct, The hotel is 6 km from the centre of town. As we are a Hotel & Golf Estate.

The Hotel does assist with Transfers on request if it is done well in advance. Unfortunately we cannot offer the services that Taxi's do. The Hotel however did offer to call a Taxi for you....

We booked this weekend away to purely relax. We used all the facilities, the service and accommodation of the hotel was 5 star. We had a couples treatment booked in the spa. My partner wrote on her consultation form that her main goal was to relax. the therapist used vigorous movements in her massage to which she had to twice ask her to slow down as she wants to relax. My therapist, Gail, was extremely professional and gave 5 star treatment. My partner noticed that she does not receive the same treatment (we had the exact same treatment booked) she for instance were not massaged in the neck with the hot stones. the stones were not place on her back like mine, to which she asked the therapist why the treatments differ so much. Unfortunately this therapist had a very sarcastic attitude to which I will not go into much detail. I strongly recommend a spa of the calibre make sure their therapist are on the same level especially when doing couples treatments. My partner is a Cidesco honours qualified spa therapist herself and was beyond disappointed that our long awaited weekend had to start on this negative note with 1 employee spoiling the experience with her bad attitude. Overall, the stay was lovely!

The Spa therapist that did your wives treatment happens to be a very experienced and highly professional therapist.

It is very easy on a social platform to speak in vague terms about a person having a "very sarcastic attitude" and then not going through with a description of exactly what is meant by that.

Should you feel strongly about your complaint and if you really care about our Spa as you say you do, then kindly take the time to send me a personal email explaining exactly what you mean, so that I can take this up with my therapist.

You failed to mention in your review that you received a apology and that you were not charged for the treatment

Sometime the Customer isn't always right.
