This venue offers - beside a spectacular view - very nice food and wines. Despite the rainy day we had an excellent lunch with superb wines!
Friendly staff and good service!
Worth going!

Great lunch venue in the Hemel en Aarde valley.
Nice simple, short menu - 3 starters, main courses and deserts consisting of chefs specials.
Nice views, good service and friendly staff.
Well recommended for a lunch along this wine route.

This restaurant is situated about 10 kms outside of Hermanus on the road to Caledon. It is built on a mountain slope, so has a spectacular view of the valley and views of the sea. Food is excellent and service very good. Because of its popularity and location, bookings are essential to be assured of getting a table. There is no problem with parking.

We travelled for one and a half hours to eat lunch at this restaurant where we'd had a good lunch last year. This time we were disappointed. The menu choice was limited; 3 dishes for starters, 2 of which were basic salads, the other marrow bone. For main course there was an aubergine bake, yellow tail, or rump steak. Also a choice of 2 charcuterie and cheese platters, for 2 people to share. Dessert was espresso and grappa, ice-cream and pear preserve or cheeses. The service was ok, no sign of management. If this had been a first visit it would have been fine, but for us returners it didn't meet our expectations.

A truly lovely setting for a restaurant. The views were stunning, and the staff well oiled! Although the menu was limited the food was good quality and the wine excellent. Well worth a lunch visit!
