The BEST aspects of this hotel are its views and location! As far as we can tell, many of the units are situated to capture the best views and our particular unit has its own grass patio. The units also looked relatively new and extremely tastefully designed.
What took away from the experience was spotty service. The most professional were the reception staff and restaurant host. However, the support staff who stand around are *mildly* friendly (they return a small smile or hello when you greet them), the person who helped us with luggage could really use more training (he responded with a “Wuh?” when being summoned by the person behind the reception desk (he should be aware the guests can hear him); and when we unloaded the car, he literally took the smallest suitcase while my daughter took the two largest ones. 🙄 He realized the disparity on the walk up the stairs but that was a bit late.
Housekeeping Supplies: we booked this room at the hotel as part of a long road trip *specifically* for the washing machine. And yet, when we arrived, there was no laundry detergent. The reception area said there was none to be found on the entire facility (all these rooms???). I find that hard to believe and suspect that no one really wanted to go search an empty room for some extra laundry detergent. Instead, we were directed to go buy our own at a local store 1/2-mile away … in the dark. I don’t think so. This would have never happened at any of the lodges we stayed in. This interaction was quite disappointing.
Lastly, The shower adjacent to the master bedroom did not drain well. 10 minutes into the shower, we had to get out because the shower pan was starting to overflow.
Overall, it’s still worth the stay.
