Description: Mujo is a laid back, family friendly bar & restaurant situated in George in the Garden Route. While we specialise in burgers and pizzas, we love to create meals according to how our moods take us. Expect to find dishes like braised beef cheeks (slow cooked in our pizza oven, naturally), sweet & savoury springrolls, deep fried Oreos and a variety of other dishes. We have a menu specially for the little ones, and a secure kids play area where they can work off a bit of energy while you relax with a well deserved mojito. Enjoy spectacular views of the Outeniqua mountains from our deck, or grab a magazine and secure your spot on our comfy couch. Our English style pub serves everything from ice cold draughts on tap to sublime margaritas and everything in between and our big screens will ensure you don't miss a second of that important game.

It seems that there is a shortage of decent, proper old fashioned pubs in George, particularly in the south-western area close to the Kraaibosch and Blue Mountain estates and the N2. However, there is Mujo which is a restaurant with a bar attached. It was a very cold evening when we visited Mujo in July but the pub was warm and inviting with a crackling fireplace and the murmur of conversation between the locals. We later sat in the restaurant and had beautiful gourmet hamburgers. Cooked to perfection, well presented and fair value. All staff were very friendly and helpful! A great evening all round!!

Inner and outer seating is comfortable. Service is slow outside, quicker to fetch your own drinks from the bar. The pub has a nice fire in winter.Great rugby watch venue. Lovely view.

Mujo's is one of 3 or 4 restaurants on the Entertainer, so we decided to try it on a cold and wet Sunday lunchtime. It's next to the driving range between George and the Garden Route Centre, so we were certainly no expecting too much. What a pleasant surprise, then. The restaurant is fairly small in winter, but would cater for a lot more in summer, as there is a large outside area. However, the fire was going the day we were there, and it was very inviting inside.
We both had the hake and chips (R75), which was outstanding - the fish was lightly, but tastefully battered, and the chips were halfway to being wedges - crisp and plentiful.
We were back there again the following (once again wet) Sunday in a party of four. Two of the party had the lamb pot, which was outstanding, and, at R55, an absolute steal. Recently, we paid R180 for a much smaller, less tasty, portion at a Cape Town Waterfront restaurant ! One of the party had a pizza - really thin crust - which was also outstanding. The hake and chips was, once again, very good.
The only gripe I have is that the wine list is fairly arbitrary, and there is only one wine by the glass.
