I stayed at the Protea Hotel Outeniqua while on a business trip to George.

One thing which stood out for me was the staff. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left the service was courteous, professional and, most of all, personal. The service was simply superb!! Thank you!

The room itself is nothing more and nothing less than one would expect of a hotel in this price range. The bed was very comfortable and was fitted with good quality bed linen. Tea and coffee is provided in the room, as is a bar fridge and a television (with limited channels). The bathroom is a bit cramped, but no worse than in most Protea Hotels I have stayed at. Simply put, the rooms fit the Protea Hotel cookie cutter mold. Good, but not amazing. I must say that both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean.

The hotel does not offer a dinner service, but there are a number of restaurants in the area, some of which provide room service.

The staff at this establishment make up for anything that the hotel itself may lack in character! And, for this reason, I can certainly recommend staying here.

I had a 2 day stay at this small tranquil hotel in George. The hotel is in walking distance of a few restaurants which makes it easily accessible. Their breakfast buffet was excellent ans had a large variety. The staff were great and ensured that I was comfortable.

Overall a good experience

After a series of unfortunate and costly events at my recent and first business trip stay at Protea Outeniqua Hotel. I am pleased to write that the new hotel manager has been both helpful and highly professional in her remedy.
