I have visited the Mead Café many times. Only once was I
disappointed with their food, and it was their Niçoise salad, which had too many clashing flavors.
Overall, the food is consistently delicious, well prepared, and beautifully presented. By the way, the Pavlova with homemade ginger ice cream (in the photo) was spectacular!
The café is cozy inside and the patio offers a lovely garden setting.
The service is hit or miss, however. Today for example, the restaurant had maybe six active tables, mostly with two customers. Yet, the coffee, the food, dessert, water, took forever to come to my table.
I hope Management sees this about the slow service, because it takes away from the other positive attributes.
