Fabulous!

We stayed back in March and had an absolute fabulous time in the Cellars-Hohenort.

From start to finish this hotel/service was top class. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurants are all equally great and the views are astonishing. Every day started off with a wonderful breakfast as well. Location is perfect and gives good opportunities to visit the area.

Can highly recommend the hotel and would love to get back next time we are in Cape Town.

Straight up goodness

The hotel location is wonderful. The service is excellent. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Breakfast and dinner are just amazing. Very bright and comfortable room. The pool is recommended as well. Everything about the hotel is exceptional. There’s no reason not to love this resort.

wonderful stay

The Conservatory restaurant is located in the historic but modern Hotel Cellars-Hohenort in the middle of a wonderful large park with mature trees, well-tended gardens and flower beds, meadows, pools and tennis court. Excellent service and gastronomy. We originally only booked for 5 days. During the then almost 4-week "forced" stay in the lockdown (March / April 2020), the chef Paul Nash spoiled us with an extremely varied range of dishes with excellent, always creative dishes with a high aroma density at star level. With his extremely pleasant, discreet nature and excellent cuisine, it was the daily highlight. It was an impressive time and we are very grateful for the excellent support. We recommend everyone to visit.

September 2019

We originally had reservations at another hotel but arrived late and there was no staff to meet us and open the gate. Thankfully we were able to secure two rooms at this hotel and everyone was kind and understanding of the late hour. After several nights we moved on toward Knysna but we were pleased with the gardens, the friendly staff, and the rooms we had. We really and truly enjoyed meeting and talking with Victoria, a wonderful friendly woman who served us breakfast.

Great location and outstanding service.

On our 10th visit to the Cellars, we spent a week in March just as the effects of the Coronavirus were being felt. The hotel was quiet but we were looked after like royalty. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and the quality of service in every area was excellent.
This is one of the best hotel layouts in Cape Town with plenty space, two swimming pools and beautifully manicured gardens.
Hope to be back next year.
