What a nice end of the day luncheon after a disastrous first experience at Life Grand Cafe. After walking out of Life Grand Cafe after an 80 minutes wait without service drinks or food we approached Willoughby & Co. only to find ourselves in a queue. We were offered a glass of wine (on the house) while we waited and shortly thereafter we were seated at the Sushi Bar Counter. Our Waitress was friendly, efficient and personable. She explained that there would be a slightly longer wait than normal for sushi as it was extremely busy and explained that there were a few items that were out of stock due to a busy lunch Service. She took our drink and food order and was back with drinks shortly after. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive and when it did is was awesome. It not only looked great but was equally as tasty and well prepared. We had the Japanese hot and cold sushi platter and were not disappointed with our choice. Staff are attentive and management have their finger on the pulse of the goings on in this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and skip the restaurants along the waterway edges (dined at another one on the waters edge last night and was very disappointed as well) they may have a better view than in the mall but their food is no comparison to Willoughby &Co in the mall and that is the reason you are there for the great Food and not the view. Well Done Guys. The best meal eaten in Cape Town so far.
