I had a meal with a business colleague at Balducci's.
This is a nice Italian restaurant located in the V&A waterfront area of Cape Town. It was established in 1996.
It is a beautiful restaurant. There is a nice feel to it.
There was an extensive menu. Each dish sounded great.
For starters my colleague chose the minestrone soup. I chose the teriyaki grilled calamari. For the main course, my colleague chose the traditional lasagne and I opted for a four seasons pizza with mushrooms, artichoke, olives and asparagus.
We enjoyed the view of the harbour.
Our starters were very good. My calamari was absolutely delicious. I could have ordered a second portion - but resisted the temptation. My colleague said that his minestrone soup was nice and thick.
The main course arrived after about 20 minutes. My pizza was tasty and exactly how a pizza should be. My colleague's lasagne was in his words "mamma mia - very nice".
We were in the restaurant for just under an hour - and it was a very enjoyable and pleasant time.
As my colleague paid for the meal, I am not sure what the total came to - but I guess it would be about GBP25 (Feb 2017). We did not drink any wine - just still water.
