Lovely restaurant. Great food, great service and ambience. I tried Kudu which I quite liked but I also tried warthog which I loved. Would recommend.

Thank Karen C

We shared a Chicken Liver Parfait with Port soaked Figs and Currant Toast starter R85.00
Arguably the best starter we have ever had combination of Figs and Chicken liver perfect
My partner had "3 Little Pigs": Sticky Belly, Smoked Fillet and Mustard-crusted Loin with Crushed Sweet Potatoes and a Mulled Cider Sauce R 210.00 for her Main
She insisted that I share a taste as she was in heaven, She said the smoked fillet was her least favourite
I had Grass Fed Beef which had been cured for days. Was melt in the mouth incredible
For desert i had Rhubarb Crumble with Chocolate and Pecan Ice Cream as my mother used to make it so well I saved the kitchen a little water as o slicked the plate clean Another World Class dish

for the freshest local ingredients, outstanding use of wild game, great wine selection, intimate smoke-free seating, in an old brick building looking to Table Rock.. and very reasonable pricing... this is the place. Away from the harbor, under a view of table rock, near central and the business district, this-bistro-like place in an older building is the perfect location for a dinner where you can talk, dine, and truly savor the original local fresh fare. Not too stuffy or formal, but still a city restaurant that should be respected for its originality. Wildebeast or kingklip, pork 3-ways or quail, accompanied by every manner of vegetable. There is truly something for everyone on this well-curated, changing daily depending on availability, menu. Do not leave this place out. This is a must-go-to if you are in Cape Town.

We both loved this restaurant for a number of reasons, excellent menu with interesting choices, tasty food and a good wine list, superb service from our waitress. The decor and ambience were to our taste, loved the specially commissioned "cabbage leaves" lights.
Will definitely visit again when we return to Cape Town

One of the more traditional and established bistro style kitchens in Cape Town produced a very solid and well executed Christmas menu. Service a bit patchy (we poured both our bottle of white and red for ourselves), but otherwise great value price point and a nice evening. What made the evening special for us was Caroline the owner, she told us about her charity work and we made a donation for what is clearly a cause close to her heart (she’s the vice chair). All in fully recommended solid Cape Town fayre.
