I've been to Savoy Cabbage a number of times and it never disappoints. We had a lovely evening with equally lovely food. The lamb rack was delicious and the desserts were absolutely divine. It was all we could to not to lick the plates. Our service was outstanding. We'll definitely be back.

Booked here having had it recommended by friends. It was by far the most expensive meal we had in South Africa and probably the most disappointing - especially when taking into account the cost. The tomato tart was a round of puff pastry with three halves of tomato on it. It needed some basil or
Balsamic glaze or something else to give it flavour. The main courses were nice but not wow- we had the eland and the beef- the best part of the meal was the desert. Overall ok but not worth the money.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal, with excellent service throughout. Food was to a high standard and the atmosphere was great. Restaurant was full but the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine, which was just what we needed on our second night in Cape Town. Very good vegetarian selection plus other dishes could be adapted as well. The tomato tart is recommended.

Found by chance online & phoned to book a table. Food was excellent, table in a good position. We were served by Sakhumzi who gave us outstanding service - well done. Would very strongly recommend this restaurant to you when in Cafe Town. Great value for money.

This was our first visit to Cape Town and since we are New Yorkers, we can be rather picky critics. Not much to complain about here. The chef is incredibly creative. Vanilla and grape gazpacho with a red granite in the middle. Beautifully grilled impala which literally melts in the mouth. An excellent "twice-cooked" cheese soufflé and a perfectly prepared fillet which was too big for me to finish. My friend, a South African, enjoyed the grilled warthog which he said was excellent.
I would love to come back because there are so many other tantalizing starters and entrees to try.
The wine was a Nativo 2009, a wonderful Pinotage blend from a wine list that contained many wines under $50.
Service was quick and professional but we were not rushed in any way. Our table was upstairs, one of many around the small bar and overlooking the entrance. There is another room downstairs but I preferred our location.
All in all, a delicious dining experience.
