We enjoyed a delicious dinner in this lovely restaurant. The whole experience was excellent and enhanced by our first rate waiter, Michael (I think). He guided us throughthe menu, offered helpful suggestions and brought us tastes of wines before we ordered a bottle, Every course was first rate. The tomato tart was fabulous as was my husbands almond and grape gazpacho....the perfect way to sttart. Our main courses were equally good and we couldn't resist a desert at the end. Presentation was fantastic too. It was our best meal of this week long visit to Cape Town.

We made a spontaneous reservation and were absolutely amazed! First of all the staff is super nice, friendly and attentive! The interior is beautiful and the whole restaurant has a very nice atmosphere (modern, rustic and chic). Oh yes....and the food is absolutely delicious! Thanks for a lovely evening!

Nice place with good service. The food was nice if not spectacular. My wife had the tomato tart to start with, which she said lacked flavour, my cheese souffle was lovely. Mains she had the fish main course which looked and tasted superb, and was my Eland. We finished with both having the sorbet which was nice. It was a pleasant place to visit

We enjoyed dinner here last year and booked ahead to secure a table again this year. The quality of food and service is outstanding. We took friends with us this year and they were very impressed.

Having been to this restaurant over many years remembering even when it was a little scary to go there, we went because the food, ambiance, service and hospitality was worth it. We went again this evening, Feb 14th and were met with a complete disappointment. We had to pay in advance due to Valentines Day and it was a set menu; okay, accepted - but shocked that things were just not good. One entrée of silverfish was pure frozen fish that was mushy, bland and basically inedible - we waited near one hour for our mains to appear; when our driver came to collect us the owner advised that he should come back - well, it's not that easy on a busy night. We couldn't finished and left - instead of the owner offering to get us a car because of the delay in service, she brushed it off. We won't be back and it's a shame because in a city where there are more new restaurants that you can possibly imagine, it's nice to think an older establishment will keep it's reputation and style but not in this case.

We had a number of things go badly wrong last night which affected a number of our mid evening tables including yours. I cannot apologise enough on behalf our my kitchen and the management.

Your driver assured me he would wait for you or I would of course have got you a taxi at our expense, as it was totally our fault that you were not ready to depart at the appointed time.

Please would you email me at info@savoycabbage.co.za so I can try and rectify the situation.
