We had a truly super lunch here - Stuart, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and despite not planning on dessert we were not disappointed with his recommendations. We chose a lovely rose wine to enjoy with our lunch and Stuart was able to tell us a little about the vineyard which is always appreciated. Our ceviches were stunning - would return and can highly recommend.

We were looking forward to some great seafood whilst in Cape Town and Baia did not disappoint. It's a large restaurant complete with a more formal setting i.e. Nice table cloths, glassware etc. There are outdoor tables however unfortunately as we hadn't booked and it was a Friday evening we had to settle for indoors. This was fine and even our table had a nice view outside across the bay towards table mountain. Service was very friendly, prompt and courteous. Food was also tasty , hot and I m guessing at the steeper end of restaurants in South Africa but still so much cheaper than at home. Our bill came to around £40 a head which included two starters, mains, one of which was a huge platter of langoustines, baby lobster and fish. Two bottles of sparking and a tremendous bottle of white wine.

High end cuisine in very pleasant surroundings, overlooking the Water front with all the activity on the water. Service was quick and very efficient. The food, -- we had fish was delicious. the selection of wines was excellent. all in all a great place to eat and celebrate.

The restaurant is large enclosed in glass with views overlooking the bay and if you’re lucky overlooking Table Bay and the Ferris wheel. The excellent menu is mainly seafood and the food we chose was delicious.... tempura lobster then grilled kingklip . It’s a noisy, buzzy place. The service all around us was excellent but sadly our waiter was lacking.
