When people heard we were going to Cape Town, they kept recommending the same places--and Baia was one of them. We were down at the V&A Waterfront at dinner time and decided to chance a meal even though we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant is large so they didn't have trouble accommodating us, and the service and food were excellent. My husband, our two adult children and I split two seafood platters and a few starters and really enjoyed the meal. The recommended sauvignon blanc complemented the food perfectly. Clientele were very interesting--some dressed to the nines, others in shorts and flip flops--all graciously welcomed.
