Built on an original farm dating back a few centuries, this complex has plenty of space, set around a beautiful quadrangle. One has plenty of privacy, can have a romantic stay without bumping into other hotel guests.

The large suites have been newly upgraded. Our unit contained an eating area, working area and a large bedroom.

Staff are friendly, make eye contact and seek to be helpful. Great for guests who enjoy outdoors.

We enjoyed out two night stay at this historical hotel. The main building, which housed the lobby and dining area for breakfast was lovely and historically interesting. The room was good/clean with decent wifi connection. Great view of the mountain and hotel is located close to a park.

We really enjoyed our stay in this historical hotel in Cape Town. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, the staff was friendly and our room was very tasteful decorated.
The view from the bedroom to the concrete wall was the only minus - it would have been a better view, if there would be a least a few ivy-leaves on that naked wall.

The greatest asset for this hotel is the friendly and attentive staff. There was a restaurant on the property, however within a night of adding the bill to my hotel room, the next room service delivery, they required cash. :-0 I was using my AMX and not sure if VISA/MC would have had a different outcome. With that being said, the food was good. The hotel is not far from the airport and the exchange rate is good compared to US$. Room was clean. Internet was good. This is a good hotel for the cost. Room Tip: Rooms access is outside so request a room close to reception unless you want the exercise. :-)

Relatively 'remote' location but situated in a green area with easy access to highways and the airport. Charming architecture and expansive grounds with big fig tree keeping sentinel over all.

Reception staff efficient and friendly as was the breakfast staff. It is unusual for there to be a variety at hot breakfasts but they excelled in that every morning there were new options so no boredom here if you stay a while.

Rooms spacious with a sitting area and a hidden kitchenette. Only beef about this set up was that the coffee/tea sachets and milk was not replenished after the first day. Never experienced that before. Its the small things that count guys!

The bathroom was spacious but dated and it took forever for the water to heat up in the shower...not the greatest way to save water in a drought.

And then there is the Wild Fig Restaurant on site. Great ambience and food.

Will need to have a car to get around or take a taxi but because of its location that should not be a problem.

I struggled to find a value for money place to stay in CT and here I found it. Will I be back?....absolutely. Have i told my friends?......absolutely!
