Found this place whilst walking through the Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately with lack of rain everything seems to be wilting, however the service here was excellent!

Fish and chips and a Cobb Salad - huge portions and good quality.

It rained at night for the plants.... hopefully they are ok!

We sat outside. Lovely setting and great little playground but those pigeons and squirrels were not afraid at all! Ordered the malay fish cakes and the bobotie spring rolls. Enjoyed them both. Next time would sit inside....

Arriving at 10am we got a nice table outside looking in the park. Different breakfast choices at reasonable prices are available. Coffee (perfect cup) was excellent. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.

A really nice experience - we enjoyed our stay!

Having grown up in Cape Town, the Company Gardens has always been a favorite outing. The revamp of this restaurant was such a welcome change, but i am sorry to say it is just not being well maintained. The place is dirty and falling apart. I have visited a number of times in the past year or two and there is always rubbish lying around and this last time the bench at our table ripped my jeans due to being splintered. The food is mediocre at best. Really, i think management can do better.

We visited the company gardens restaurant right after it was revamped by the Madame zingara group, and it was terrific. We went again about a year ago and it was still great.

This time, not good at all. The delightful menu has been slashed to a handful of main meals. Where dit all the lovely open sandwhiches go?? The menus themselves were dirty and the laminate pages were in serious need of renewal. The table was sticky and the whole outside needs a capital boost.

The food was shocking. For the high price point, no value for money was had.

We ordered fried fish and the chicken burger. None of the deep fried items had fully cooked batter, the chips had clearly stood , the chicken breast was overcooked and super dry, and the burger bun was stale.

The coffee was undrinkable, whether it was a dirty machine or badly roasted beans, who knows.

As a bonus, the gents bathroom had puddles of urine on the floor.

The only nice thing was the waiter. He was great.

Thank Suretha H
