Description: We serve Neopolitan pizza and Modern Italian-inspired food in an informal contemporary space in the centre of Cape Town. From our hand-built pizza oven from Naples to the fresh pasta we serve each night, everything we do shows our love for food. Our menu is small but diverse and we encourage guests to order a number of dishes to share with the table. Pop in for a quick lunch or relax and let our team take care of you for an evening you'll remember

Great food and solid wine selection. We had arancini, prok belly ribs with pesto (unbelievable) and a margherita pizza, which was blistered to perfection in their wood-burning oven, as well as a bottle of white. This would be a wonderful date night spot.

Our waiter was super nice and suggested a few bars for us to check out after dinner. I wish I could remember his name!

If you go, try to sit downstairs or outside, as the upstairs area doesn't have the same fun vibe/ambiance.

The thousands of eponymous restaurants which try and capture the eating experience often seem to do the opposite. Cape Town’s corner Bree and Wale Italian food hits it on the head.
The big servings of authentic Italian flavours are really worth booking. Great staff and two levels make it cozy. I ordered the sirloin which was the best I have ever had perfectly medium-rare and I used a table knife instead of a steak knife as it was so tender. The Rigatoni is bliss. Book as it fills even in midweek.

So good we ate here twice! Once for lunch and once for dinner. The pizzas are amazing and have unique toppings. We ordered one pizza (maybe The Commoner?) with feta, bacon and avocado and another called the Bandito with chorizo and red bell pepper. Big enough to split with a couple appetizers or get two and share. Zucchini fries are great and come with a tasty aioli sauce.

Great wine selection and friendly staff with a big patio area. Highly recommend!

It was our first time here. The location of this restaurant is excellent, situated in the hip and happening, foodie centric Bree street.

I totally loved the open plan, full view of pizza station and kitchen.
It has a modern rustic feel to it.

With an Italian imported pizza oven and pizza ingredients I imagined the pizza to be excellent, however my husband's Asian inspired pizza with pork, kimchi and sesame seeds was a bit too adventurous. It tasted good but the flavour of the spicy kimchi was too over powering.

The dishes from the small plates section were excellent!! Try the arancini (crumbed and deep fried risotto balls) - were totally delicious, and so was the zucchini fries

There is a good wine selection too.

All in all, a good experience. Will be back for the finger foods and small plates section of dishes.

This was a great pizza place and I would highly recommend it. In fact, we ate here every night we were staying at the nearby Taj hotel (except Sunday, when it is closed in the evening). For Americans, the prices are unreal (as in cheap). Had fantastic prosciutto and argula (aka rocket in SA) pizza and beer out on the deck, which is several feet above the sidewalk. The views and street life (the parking "attendants" who run around charging everyone) were fun to observe, but you weren't down on street level, which afforded some additional comfort. It's located on trendy Bree street, which is only trendy for a few blocks. Servers were super friendly and efficient both nights (although one forgot they were closed Sundays, which wasted a little of our time walking over from the hotel). Would definitely come back again and again if this place were in LA.
