Good organisation, friendly and knowledgable tour guides. Comfortable truck with spacious lockers. Vegetarian food often better than what I'd get at a UK restaurant! Would use Acacia again.

Southern African Magic Accommodated exceeded my expectations. Not only did I experience what I called "National Geographic Live" and managed to see ALL the animals on my bucket list (but one), but the tour was also excellently organized. We had a great guide, Simon, who took care of us all. I have to specifically thank him for looking after my mom at times when she did not participate in scheduled activities.
The accommodation were impressive considering that we sometimes were in the middle of nowhere. We always had a pool, great lounge areas and it was very atmospheric - really at times felt like one is on a luxury safari tour. The bungalows sometimes were in private game reserves (therefore increasing animal encounter possibilities) which I loved.
I have to admit that I was nervous about the long drives, but the bus was spacious and comfortable and Simon was a very safe driver. The time went by painlessly looking out of panoramic 360 windows (yes, without curtains, but that meant unobstructed views) and listening to Simon on various subjects ( that we quizzed him on) including local life, history, food, etc. Also playing UNO with the rest of the gang. :)
I work in the travel industry and I have to say I could not have picked a better tour for the quality and the price point. This was really a once in a lifetime experience, during which, my mother actually had to say: "Please, not another elephant." :D

I would highly recommend acacia Africa to everyone, in fact I have told several people about my trip as they were amazed by my posts online and wanted to book themselves. I was a solo traveler and opted to not camp and have accommodation throughout. If you enjoy camping this is a perfect trip for you as some of the places we stayed were amazing. For those who do accommodated it was brilliant out of all the places we stayed I wasn’t happy with two and that was only because we had been spoilt elsewhere. Great value for money all round. I met so many amazing people and would deffo do more trips with acacia.
I was also a bit worried about it being a participation tour but it was actually fine as it was doing basic chores like washing up and helping with dinners and lunch etc.
My main worry was food as I have some allergies and also because I had never camped before and a lot of the dinners were made literally it the middle of nowhere sometimes just a bbq. This being said our rep was literally the best he was professional, knowledgable beyond belief and really funny. Having such a great rep really makes a difference on a tour like this. He would make sure everyone was happy and when it came to optional activities these would be communicated well and anything you wanted to do in general he would give you information and even book it for you. I have to also praise him for the amazing food we ate daily, I was amazed that I actually could eat everyday ( due to my allergies) and it was amazing food, I even put on weight lol and didn’t once have a bad belly. The itinerary is very jam packed and sometimes you are in the truck for 9 hours but there are regular stops to eat drink and use the restrooms - but be prepared for a lot of card games, Netflix’s and reading lol . Although these journeys were long it was worth it to see all the amazing things and places we saw.
I had never done a trip like this before so it was very interesting how it all works but by day 3 your used to the truck life and you don’t always have to bring your luggage back n fourth as it stays in the truck in your own personal huge locker which is locked.
I would recommend lots of luggage locks , a torch as even if your accommodated you walk back to your room in the pitch black, good zoom camera, rain mac , hoodies as well as warm clothes as some of the mountain destinations are freezing and a pack of cards lol (uno) (wizards)
Special thanks to Gee ( rep) and wessel (driver) you were both amazing and made my 1st solo group trip the best so far.

Dear 674max, Wow... what an AMAZING review, thank you! We are pleased you had such a wonderful 20-day Kruger to Cape Town tour with us and that you enjoyed the many highlights along the way - it's one of our most popular trips now. We will be sure to share your awesome feedback with G and Wessel. They will be super happy! Thanks again, and we hope to see you back for another adventure in the near future.
Kindest regards,
Michelle
