When I first visited Haas I was not overly impressed. Yes the decor was different and interesting. Yes there are beautiful Cape Townians and tourists hanging out. Yes the tea was really good...

On my second visit however, I ordered their French Toast with extra bacon....

Converted! The French toast, made with fresh bread, delicious fried banana and perfectly crispy bacon, all beautifull presented is now one of my favourite breakfasts in Cape Town.

And yes! Some of the best French Toast I've had ever! If you do not like French Toast, try something else, or go for the people watching!

On a cold wintery & wet afternoon, this is the perfect place to warm up, have lunch and get inspired. We had lovely service & great food. Would love to incorporate a regular visit, if we would live in Cape Town. Thumbs up!

Wow, what a lovely experience. I had a traditional brekkie with a friend of mine and the decor and food was a delight to the senses. I love the art pieces and the coffee bar to the one side.

It's comfortable and trendy. Nothing stuffy about this place. If you want to meet interesting people and feast your eyes and tummy, then do try Haas. Centrally located and lots of off street parking.

this awesome place is full of art and design. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in a beautiful tea pot. Their lunch menu is quite small but the quality is very good and the ppl there are nice as well.

One has to be quick to occupy a vacant chair or settee in this magnificent space that leaves one breathless. One is made welcome on numerous occasions with all the friendly staff greeting and smiling. Seating is diverse – either at small or large tables or on sofas or chairs or in special places. Every time we visited it was packed. Yet one can enjoy an intimate conversation with your fellow admirers of beauty…
The menu is another attractive concept with divine dishes listed.
We enjoyed breakfast and the most basic ingredients were transformed into palatable art. The tomatoes were not just red, they were roasted. The eggs were not just laid, they were creamy and infused. The bread was not just store bought, it was proofed, crafted and toasted.
The level of service is outstanding – the waitrons are exceptionally friendly and well trained and do not get stressed amidst the volume of clientele and orders. They are also very knowledgeable; our waitress could even identify the trophy on the wall as a scimitar oryx!

Unforgettable. Ideal for those who love the beauty of life.
