We spent four lovely nights at the Cloud Nine as part of a trip for my husband's 40th last month. We were very warmly greeted by Bronwyn and the team and, after an 11-hour overnight flight from London, we were grateful to be able to use the powder room for a shower and change as we arrived quite early in the morning.
We found that our travel agent had not pre-booked parking for us, so we had to park down the road, which wasn't too much of a problem, but we were happier once we had a parking space the following day. Beware some of the spaces are very tight though!!
The room itself was lovely, with a stunning freestanding bath. No shower over the bath, but we quickly adapted. Given CT's chronic water shortage, it certainly helped us use minimal water! The additions of the decanter on the fireplace and the evening turn-down service were much appreciated touches.
We thoroughly enjoyed sparkling wine in the rooftop pool with panoramic views of Table Mountain and Lion's Head, although it got windy at times! The jacuzzi was nice too, and a welcome place for some shade in the hot afternoons.
We found breakfast delicious with a small but great quality continental selection (the sourdough bread was to die for!) and yummy cooked options too (avo on toast was a winner!), as well as beautiful freshly squeezed orange juice. It was often busy inside but we enjoyed sitting outside watching the world go by.
Great location for Waterfront and Camps Bay and the team were always on hand to give restaurant recommendations etc.
Thoroughly recommended - thanks guys!
