Stayed here for 5 nights in the leadup to Christmas. Really comfortable bed and great shower (not that you can use it for more than 2 minutes..), amazing views of Table Mountain and great restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend Arnold's!). but there were a few downfalls:

We were on level one, and there was really loud music every night from the bar downstairs until about midnight. We also found that Parking was very expensive

Ladies at the reception were really wonderful. If we needed something, it was fixed immediately.
When choosing the hotel, we didn't want to be in the town centre. It turned out to be the perfect distance. All the gardens, museums and other attractions are walkable.
The best feature of the location - it is round the corner from all the good restaurants. Just bear in mind - if you want to dine finely, book at least two days in advance. Those places are unbelievably popular.
Breakfast at the hotel was good fun. Tasty omelettes, good coffee and food well presented. Friendly Baristas and Waitresses.

Very welcoming and friendly staff from the moment you step into the hotel until you depart. The mountain view from the rooftop bar is amazing, and the cocktails are top notch. A wonderful venue to unwind on a beautiful summer evening.
The room had everything we needed and was super comfortable. Loved the eclectic decor of the whole hotel!

Good location pleasant staff. Breakfast average was a bit confused over the extra cost for tea and coffee. We only stayed one night so didn’t use all the amenities the roof top bar looked nice. Bed was large and very comfortable I thought it was a bit expensive

Dear Andrew

Lovely having you at our hotel and thank you for your kind words regarding our location, rooftop and staff:) I had a look at your booking you made via booking.com and I saw that the booking was made and paid for, for two nights and I think that might be the reason you found it a bit expensive? Either way next time you are in Cape Town, contact us directly and we will give you a discounted rate for booking directly with us:) I also saw that the booking was made as "room only" excluding breakfast, that might be the reason you were charged for extras at breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and our only regret was that we did not stay longer. Upon arrival after flying from Chicago > Munich - 7 hour layover and then 11 hour flight from Munich to Cape We were exhausted, we were happy to see that Cloud 9 had arranged airport transportation for us and a driver was waiting for us at baggage claim. We arrived at Cloud 9 around 0830 AM so we were very early for our scheduled check in time, the front desk staff kindly stowed our luggage and offered us a empty room to use to shower and freshen up while our room was being prepared followed by a delicious breakfast. Due to the time change (7 Hours for us) we wanted to stay awake till at-least 19:00 in order to acclimate to the time so the front desk staff gave us a list of things to do within walking distance i.e. museums, restaurants, botanical gardens, etc. to kill some more time while our room was being prepared and to keep us awake. We arrived back at the hotel round 15:00 and our room was ready. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, we unpacked our bags and then went to a restaurant next door for some Tacos at this time we were on about 24 hours of no sleep so we finally called it a night ( a very early night) We woke up the next morning feeling fresh and recharged ate a great breakfast and went on our first of three outings that Cloud 9 had set up for us (wine tasting, shark diving, 1-day safari) All of which were fun and affordable! My girlfriend had used the spa for a manicure and was very impressed, the other spa amenities seemed to be very nice as well. Each night the staff recommended a different restaurant and each was better than the last. The hotel location is perfect if you enjoy the city as we did, coffee shops on every corner, grocery store across the street, restaurants all over etc. Our last morning there we jogged to Lions Head Mountain (About 1 Mile, 1.6 Km) to the trail head and about a 1 hour hike to the top semi difficult hike (required the use of chains and handles if you want to go to the very top) from the start of the trail to the very top and back down is about 2 hours if you are moving at a good pace then about a mile back to Cloud 9. Great hotel for all families, couples, singles, young guest, older guests basically all walks of life. Would love to stay here again.

Also - the lotion/shampoo/condition in the rooms is incredible where can we get some? Ha-Ha
