What a gem of a place tucked away in Gardens, Cape Town.
A beautiful setting under Table Mountain. Lots of space.

Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Lots of useful advice.

Great spa facilities

We will definitely be returning!

Every time I read about a small place on Trip Advisor that is so well reviewed, I get a little suspicious. Is this place really the #1 hotel in Cape Town? Turns out the reviews are spot on.

What makes this place so special as everyone else writes is the staff. Klaus (owner), Steffi (manager) and Claire (manager) are beyond compare. You really feel like you are staying at their home. No detail is too small. The house is immaculate and perfectly appointed. The rooms are tasteful, functional, warm yet modern. The breakfast is perfect. Again, no detail is too small.

The name 2Inn1 comes from the combination of two houses on the same property that formed the property that also has the address of 21 Kennsington. There is a pool and a hot tub.

The place is nearly impossible to get into. i had to book nearly a year in advance. There are only 10 rooms and many people come back year after year and make their reservations for next year when they depart this year. Most of the guests I saw, were European which ads a unique flavor to your stay.

Do not get expecting a hotel experience. You are staying at a guesthouse that could be called a "B&B" or a "Boutique Hotel." You are a ways away from Long Street or the Warf. You can walk to Long Street, but not the Warf. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and in close proximity to Table Mountain. That in itself is a change of pace. You feel less like a tourist staying here than you would at a downtown hotel. Not a whole lot in easy walking distance, but Uber is perfect and cheap in Cape Town.

The service is really what stands out at this place. I put a lot of planning into my trip. When we arrived, we met with Claire who sat us down and went over our schedule. She helped "polish" my schedule and fill in the holes I had left out. Her suggestions were perfect.

If you are looking for something a little less touristy, this is your place.
Highly recommended. I hope I have the privilege to return again one day.

Enjoyed 9 wonderful nights at the 2inn1 Kensington, our stay really couldn't have been any better!
Set in a peaceful residential area just outside the hussel & bussel of the city centre, but still within walking distance of Long street & 5 mins cab ride to the water front.
Our room was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, & equipped with everything that you would need for a very comfortable stay.
Our balcony had the most amazing views of Lions Head & Table Mountain, what a view to wake up to each morning!
One of the main highlights of this B&B is without a doubt the staff. They go above & beyond to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect for you. Nothing is ever too much trouble!
Clair took great care of us on our first morning, we talked through all of the things that we wanted to do during our time in Cape Town, the types of restaurants we like to eat in, relaxation days etc. (Clair made some fantastic recommendations for things that we hadn't even thought of doing!).
Clair then produced a detailed personal itinerary especially for us, including restaurants reservations & cab pick up times no less! How amazing! This was like having our own personal PA!!
Breakfast at the 2inn1 was just superb, beautifully presented, very wide choice of foods, & always a delicious cooked special for the day. You have the option of dining inside the breakfast room or outside overlooking the pool area.
I had the pleasure in enjoying 2 wonderful massages at the spa during my stay, which were truly amazing! As a fellow beauty therapist I'm so often disappointed when having treatments whilst travelling, but not this time! Fantastic!
We would recommend the 2inn1 without hesitation, we would most certainly stay here again if we were lucky enough to visit Cape Town a second time.
A big thank you to all of the staff, thank you for making us feel so welcome & well looked after!

The 2 Inn 1 is in my opinion the perfect place to stay in Cape Town if you want peace and quiet and do not mind going to the restaurants in town for dinner. However, they do have a snack menu available in the evening.

The Boutique Hotel has 10 rooms and is situated in the Gardens area of Cape Town under Table Mountain in a quiet residential location. The rooms, both in the old house and new build, are very well equipped with an excellent shower room. Wifi reception is excellent. There is more than adequate seating on the terrace, some around the small swimming pool and at the front of the hotel looking onto Table Mountain and across to Lion's Head.

The owner, Klaus, and principal staff Steffi and Clare, cannot do enough to help you (including sawing off a padlock when the keys were locked inside the suitcase - once again many thanks). They, if asked, will plan your days out, suggest restaurants and make reservations. They have an excellent knowledge of Cape Town, it's surrounding areas and restaurants.

The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the Waterfront, but longer in rush hour, and should not cost more than 100 Rand including a tip.

The hotel is extremely popular so book well in advance. Once again I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at 2inn1. Best part was Claire. She anticipated all our needs and was incredibly helpful with tips, making our reservations, helping us with directions .... anything we could have possibly needed help with. Aside from Claire, all the other members of the 2inn1 staff were lovely and made our stay really comfortable.

As for the place itself, it was clean and nice. Very very comfortable. It is also in a brilliant location - we had a car but we were also able to walk to a number of nice restaurants etc.

Really wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cape Town. Would definitely stay here again.
