As we thought we had an hours wait for a table - not a problem as we were well looked after in the bar and enjoyed a pre dinner drink. Meal itself started well - the fish course was delicious. Then there was a gap of maybe 30 mins to the second vegetable course. It was delicious - a cauliflower risotto and gnocchi with ceps - but the wait was too long. Then a rather disappointing set of meat dishes - both in design (too many strong competing flavours in the sauces) and quality (lamb was tough) We left at 9 30 when the place had emptied out. Very friendly helpful staff but maybe the kitchen is trying too hard to be different.

You don’t have a choice: it is a set tapas menu for 2, which costs 700 Rand (for 2 people). You can add dessert and drinks, but otherwise you are at the mercy of the given menu: 3 starter dishes focusing on fish, 3 more vegetarian dishes, and finished by 3 dishes with more of a meat focus. If you enjoy Asian flavours, you are at the right place: creative and inventive play on spices and texture, artfully assembled. Don’t go if you are a picky eater!
As mentioned before, seating is borderline uncomfortable on benches or seats without backrest, no reservations so come before 6 pm if you want to avoid long wait times, and service is quite uncoordinated. But the food is worth it!

The most amazing food in the world with phenomenal service and fresh seasonal food. In terms of service tau, archie and blayne were winderful servers who remembered me from tge time befire and recommended great wines. Big shout out to Shirley and Penelope, who lit up my lunch time like never before!
Ben downstairs in No Reservations was amazing as well. Best restaurant in South Africa hands down!

We stopped off at Chefs Warehouse in The V&A Waterfront just to have a drink but ended up staying to eat.
The location is amazing, buzzing with life and a great place to experience Cape Town. As well as the atmosphere the food is also great verging from tapas to main meals as you fancy.
